    Total Inability: Genesis 1-4

I have trouble with those who assume things like this. I never spoke against scholarship, just some types of it.

    Total Inability: Genesis 1-4

Yes I understand there are modern conservative scholars. A number of times you spouted 'modern scholarship' without saying who, so that left me wondering are you trusting the scholars over God's Word?. Some examples of modern scholarship I believe aren't regenerate are Bultmann, Licona...

    Total Inability: Genesis 1-4

I read some of Geisler's works. Point? That's like me asking if you have read all of Luther's Works or Chemnitz's 4 vol treatise on The Examination of the Council of Trent? Or is this some sort of arrogant 'Ive read more scholarly works than you' contest? God is not impressed.

    Total Inability: Genesis 1-4

Do you mean the modern scholarship that denies the inerrancy and sufficiency of Scripture, the miracles and the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ? Exactly which modern scholarship are you referring to because many 'scholars' have varying opinions and many of them are not regenerate. 1...

Let the dead bury the dead. Self sacrifice is the way to eternal life

Self sacrifice is not the Way to eternal life. Rather, Jesus' sacrifice opens the Door in which we enter into eternal life.

    Total Inability: Genesis 1-4

You understand that 'modern scholarship is 2000 years removed from the event compared to the eyewitnesses who were there?

    Total Inability: Genesis 1-4

You're assuming I'm trying to dumb you down. My style is short and to the point, deal with it or ignore it.

    Total Inability: Genesis 1-4

Yes...and? Scripture is sufficient and is it's own interpreter (as it is attended with it's Author, the Holy Spirit). Ever hear of the power of the Gospel or the illuminating/quickening of the Spirit? So free will applies equally to fallen man as it does to unfallen Adam? Yes, the point is...

    Total Inability: Genesis 1-4

My reply? A clear teaching on the matter, not an inference from a historical narrative... Ephesians 2:1-3 KJVS [1] And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; [2] Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of...

    Total Inability: Genesis 1-4

That may be true before the Fall. But you must at least admit that there has been a damper put on that 'free will' since the Fall. e.g. slaves of sin, satan, the world, the flesh etc. etc.

John 16:33 Could you expound on it, please?

Joy and Peace are fruit of the Spirit to be borne by those who are partakers of Jesus' gift of salvation found at the Cross of Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins.

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

I believe I already told you 'bye'. We have our own convictions, trying to persuade each other is just a further waste of time...unless you think it profitable to keep agitating, then I have the 'nuclear ignore option' LOL

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

Please. I know who I am in Christ Jesus NOT in Luther, Calvin or Pope Leo X. Obviously, I have my convictions and you have yours. I think we have carried on long enough. Bye.

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

Hebrews 9:27 KJVS [27] And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Same principal with David's son... 2 Samuel 12:16-23 KJVS [16] David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth. [17] And the elders of...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

Like I said, my dad died an atheist this month (94). I suppose he wasn't included in 'you and your family'?

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

'You say he called your children when he called you'. Interesting, my father was an atheist and died an atheist, so where does that put my calling?

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

I don't follow my so called Protestant Fathers. I follow my Jewish Fathers like Moses, David, Isaiah, Matthew, John, Paul, Peter etc., and of course Jesus. Your so called "Fathers' like Irenaeus, Chrysosotom, Augustine, Terullian etc., just weren't old enough. lol

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

All cults make the same claim, "We are the one true Church/teaching". Making unsubstantiated arrogant claims does not bolster your position either. Face it, the Scriptures came from the Jewish Apostles and Prophets long before there was a Roman Church. I know it's a humble pill for the puffy...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

You can't make a one-to-one comparison with baptism/circumcision, otherwise no girls would be saved. Besides circumcision didn't save, it was an entrance into the commonwealth of Israel. For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

Duh, they were Jewish before being called Christian and they never ceased from being Jewish. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. John 4:22 (KJV) Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I...
