    The common denominator

So...I have no choice but to be wicked? Hmmm...I guess scripture disagrees. Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his...

    Are Christians Sinners?

Christians do sin, but it's not who we are. It's not our identity. We are actually Saints that are imperfect.

I Just Heard About This And This Makes Me ANGRY!!!!

Hmm..yeah censorship is ramping up on Facebook, but I see lots of Bible verses posted every day there.

    Christian Denominations

What? That the Jews rejected him by and large or that some do accept him as Messiah? [L For] I am not ashamed of the ·Good News [Gospel], because it is the power God uses to save everyone who believes—to save the Jews first, and then to save ·Gentiles [L the Greeks; C here meaning anyone who...

    Christian Denominations

He was born Jewish. I don't think anyone denies that. They deny he was their messiah, but some Jews are Christian too.

Adam and Eve, The True Adult Story

No argument here. However, being sinners and being totally depraved are very different.

HELP, I'M A UNIVERSALIST - CAN SOMEONE BRING ME INTO THE FRESH WATERS OF 'ETERNAL DAMNATIONISM'?

You have not answered any of my objections, so they still stand. All you offer are boring insults.

HELP, I'M A UNIVERSALIST - CAN SOMEONE BRING ME INTO THE FRESH WATERS OF 'ETERNAL DAMNATIONISM'?

How does that hep you? And why are Universalists so insulting if they believe everyone is God's chosen?

Adam and Eve, The True Adult Story

Does any verse actually say this?

HELP, I'M A UNIVERSALIST - CAN SOMEONE BRING ME INTO THE FRESH WATERS OF 'ETERNAL DAMNATIONISM'?

John 19:11 - Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power [at all] against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin. Matthew 12:31 - Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the...

Human Freewill the devil's greatest trick

Then all verses about falling away are cut from your Bible?

HELP, I'M A UNIVERSALIST - CAN SOMEONE BRING ME INTO THE FRESH WATERS OF 'ETERNAL DAMNATIONISM'?

The alternative is to read the scriptures in context. Why would you think the verse means everyone is included in children of God, when there's so many verses saying otherwise?

HELP, I'M A UNIVERSALIST - CAN SOMEONE BRING ME INTO THE FRESH WATERS OF 'ETERNAL DAMNATIONISM'?

Universal atonement, not universal acceptance of that atonement. Again quit cherry picking verses.
  14. R

HELP, I'M A UNIVERSALIST - CAN SOMEONE BRING ME INTO THE FRESH WATERS OF 'ETERNAL DAMNATIONISM'?

Not at all. Even just picking out that verse alone doesn't suggest universalism.

HELP, I'M A UNIVERSALIST - CAN SOMEONE BRING ME INTO THE FRESH WATERS OF 'ETERNAL DAMNATIONISM'?

How does this verse confirm universalism? Look at how the chapter begins: "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, " Who is Paul talking about here? Not every human that ever lived but: "the children of God" I consider that our present sufferings are not...

Human Freewill the devil's greatest trick

Does being predestined to inherit these blessings as believers mean we can't choose to become unbelievers and lose our inheritance? Because the Bible has plenty of warning about that also.

Human Freewill the devil's greatest trick

Oh, so you are a compatibilist. Why didn't you just say so? You just shrug and say two opposites are both true. Yeah, I tried that. It didn't work for me. "We" are chosen in Christ before the world was founded. "We" being whosoever will believe. Individuals are not chosen. So, how simple it...

Human Freewill the devil's greatest trick

Well, now I'm totally confused about what you actually believe. Because first, you say there's no free will and now you say we aren't predestined to salvation or damnation. You seem to be wanting to have your cake and eat it too. If we are not predestined to one or the other, then we must have...

    The common denominator

Amen! That's exactly what limited atonement is. Of course, it doesn't really exist.
  20. R

    The common denominator

But then, what do you do with David comparing the wicked to the righteous? Do you assume the righteous are not born in sin? This is where limited atonement leads a person, actually, to believing some of just born to be wicked and some born to be saved.
