HELP, I'M A UNIVERSALIST - CAN SOMEONE BRING ME INTO THE FRESH WATERS OF 'ETERNAL DAMNATIONISM'?

Oh, of course I love the lost. I don't want to see anyone go into outer darkness for eternity.

HELP, I'M A UNIVERSALIST - CAN SOMEONE BRING ME INTO THE FRESH WATERS OF 'ETERNAL DAMNATIONISM'?

Does loving your enemy's mean agreeing with them? Of course, other believers are not our enemies, wherever they are in their walk. However this is a forum for discussing theology, so there's going to be disagreement. I disagree that God always gets his way for example. That's not scriptural.

Human Freewill the devil's greatest trick

Lol, your arguement is extremely weak. Just because I have a reason for something does not mean it was the only choice I can make. At any point in every day there's a multitude of choices that can change what happens. And the ripple effect means my Choices effect affect other people's...

HELP, I'M A UNIVERSALIST - CAN SOMEONE BRING ME INTO THE FRESH WATERS OF 'ETERNAL DAMNATIONISM'?

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. Is God going to force obedience? Where's that in Scripture?

HELP, I'M A UNIVERSALIST - CAN SOMEONE BRING ME INTO THE FRESH WATERS OF 'ETERNAL DAMNATIONISM'?

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing! - Matthew 23:37 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall...

Adam and Eve, The True Adult Story

Where do you find this silly stuff?

Human Freewill the devil's greatest trick

Of course. Bondage of the will would mean I could never choose between options. And of course we have many options on any given day. I can choose to stay in bed tomorrow and whine because my back hurts, or I can do my work regardless for example.

    The common denominator

This is David comparing the wicked and the righteous. It's perhaps exaggeration to make a point, but it indicates that our free will choices to disobey can begin very early. I had a "friend" as a kid, A neighbor boy who would try to get me to do things like stealing. Now, how much of his wayward...

    The common denominator

I believe we are all born innocent of what right and wrong are. That was the state Adam and Eve were in until God set some rules. Now, we are born selfish, I suppose, to some degree, but is it sinful for a baby to desire to be fed and comfortable? I don't thinks so. Ever notice that some...

Human Freewill the devil's greatest trick

Well since you believe the stories are just stories, that kind of cancels out your opinion on free will IMO. But, of course, everyone has limits on what they can do and everyone has temptations and live in the situation God provided. How that cancels out free will, I don't understand. By "free...

Where is hell? Where is heaven?

This is pretty much my take on hell, also. I would add that the outer darkness makes me think that the people in hell will be in total isolation, from both God and each other. That might not sound so bad, but when one realizes that here in this world, we always have the benefits of God's...

When Jesus comes back, what will you like to talk to him about for eternity?

Well I certainly will enjoy talking to Jesus for eternity, but I expect there's gonna be lots more to do and see and explore. In the new heavens and new earth. I don't really believe in the rapture. But I could be wrong about that. Nothing wrong with longing for heaven, especially if you have...

Human Freewill the devil's greatest trick

No, that makes no sense. Irresistible grace may save one or none. How can you ever even know if you are chosen? You can't. You can only hope you are.

Human Freewill the devil's greatest trick

So you won the heavenly lottery? What about the person who doesn't win, because he was destined for hell instead? You have no compassion for that poor guy?

Where is hell? Where is heaven?

It becomes eternal. All the others are obvious by their context. The smoke of their torment going up forever is in the context of eternity.

There is no end of their corpses, they stumble on their corpses - Nahum 3:3b

Sure it will be. But not in this life. It almost sounds like some kind of extreme health and wealth gospel..."Step right up, Ladies and gentlemen, if you take God's golden ticket, you'll never get sick or die, but have a perfect, beautiful body forever!" That's not the gospel. Even Jesus died...

Where is hell? Where is heaven?

Well I'm not worried because I don't plan to be there, but I still don't get the question.

There is no end of their corpses, they stumble on their corpses - Nahum 3:3b

Demonic attitudes? Because they know they won't physically live forever? I don't get it.

Where is hell? Where is heaven?

    What does that mean?
