For Those Who Deny Jesus Christ IS Almighty God

Christ was speaking to the Jews, telling them that the God they claimed had sent Him. Again, Christ has lowered Himself to the position of man, the servant having cast aside His power of God but could not cast off His deity as God. He is now the servant ready to execute the Godhead's redemption...

For Those Who Deny Jesus Christ IS Almighty God

Even doubting Thomas called Jesus, "my Lord and my God."

For Those Who Deny Jesus Christ IS Almighty God

Christ was speaking in His humanity! He lowered Himself to that of a Man. He subjected Himself to the will of the Father. Would He do what He did on the Cross if it were not also His will along with the Father?

For Those Who Deny Jesus Christ IS Almighty God

When God said, "Let "us" make man in our own image, after our likeness..." who is God here and who was He speaking to? It's for sure that angels are not the same likeness as man, so they are not in this conversation.

For Those Who Deny Jesus Christ IS Almighty God

I think unity in essence is the key here, speaking of the 3 independent persons. What Christ did on the Cross, in the flesh as a Man, is the fullness of the Godhead in their unity toward mans redemption. That is the story of the Bible from Gen. to Rev., The Godhead's plan, and execution of...

For Those Who Deny Jesus Christ IS Almighty God

Man thinks he has the Trinity figured out, but he doesn't. As I said earlier, it's from another realm beyond the understanding of man. It is clear that three persons are involved and yet they are "one God.' All indication from scripture is that these persons are independent, and not one person...

For Those Who Deny Jesus Christ IS Almighty God

Yes, and Christ is in the Father. "I in the Father, and the Father in me." This speaks of unity. They are one in unity and essence. Paul told us that Jesus Christ in the flesh is the exact reproduction of God the Father. The unity cannot be denied.

For Those Who Deny Jesus Christ IS Almighty God

In the Old Testament you will find "one God" many times, God even said there is no God but me. He taught Israel that He is the only true God. When the New Testament comes along we are given more details as to this "one God." He is a "triune God." Three distinct persons in essence. The "one...

For Those Who Deny Jesus Christ IS Almighty God

I disagree again. Only Israel is being addressed here. The "one father" is referring to Abraham the father of Israel. With Israel being created through Abraham by God.

For Those Who Deny Jesus Christ IS Almighty God

Well, I have to disagree. Malachi is speaking to Israel who have been treacherous toward God in sinning. He is speaking of the nation of Israel being created with a purpose in this world, not that God created every one of us individually. His point is that Israel has broken Covenant with God...

For Those Who Deny Jesus Christ IS Almighty God

I didn't originate this but coming from a lifetime of construction I can relate to it. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, in construction terms. The Father is the owner, the Son is the architect, the Holy Spirit is the contractor. Together they build in perfect harmony.

For Those Who Deny Jesus Christ IS Almighty God

Personally, I believe there is just what John said, three persons that make up the Godhead. I don't believe when Isaiah spoke of the Messiah being called the "Everlasting Father" that he was referring to Him as God the Father. My opinion is that Christ became the Son of God at a point in...

    OSAS Believers Never Preach Righteousness

The OSAS crowd you're preaching to are the apostates. It doesn't bother them at all that sin is what nailed Christ to that Cross. But there is another version of the OSAS crowd that you will not admit exists. They are sin conscious, they hate sin. They know that the righteousness they have is...

    Why a Cross?

Simply put, Christ had to be placed on the Cross by the Law of God. God had said in the Law of Moses, Deut. 21:22-23 "And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree: His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in...

In-depth Bible Study on Eternal Punishment

I've been pretty hard on you, Matthew. I can see that you love God and have a big heart for others, and I certainly don't want to discourage you from that with negativity toward this thread. I'm sure you are aware how that scriptural doctrine is established. It's by scripture interpreting...

In-depth Bible Study on Eternal Punishment

Reminds me of several years ago when a URist told me that this is a surprise to humanity from God. I told him not to hold his breath considering they have rejected the Father's only Son and have gone to the grave with that denial.

In-depth Bible Study on Eternal Punishment

The New Covenant was just an example of a point I made concerning this thread. Surly you understand that. But look, once the seed of the UR sets in there is nothing that can be said. The bottom line in the UR thing is that they believe man will have a second chance to accept Christ and diminish...

    Paul

I was taught that Paul is showing the importance of scripture to Timothy, and of course, us. Using the KJV, which I was taught on, Doctrine-- what's right. Reproof-- what's not right Correction-- how to get right. Instruction in righteousness-- how to stay right. These are just some of the...
