In-depth Bible Study on Eternal Punishment

It's a completed farce! 1John 2:17 "And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. Here we see the contrast of the world/lust coming to an end, but forever going into infinity. This is proof that "forever" does not come to an end in age...

In-depth Bible Study on Eternal Punishment

@MatthewG back to my first set of posts in this thread. If you are studying the ministry of Shawn Mccraney, and it appears you are, he teaches Universalism. Better be careful in what you are taking in and who it's coming from.

In-depth Bible Study on Eternal Punishment

OK, the difference between Hell and the Lake of fire is that Hell is the temporary place of the spiritual dead, they are doomed, facing eternal separation from God. Their physical bodies are in the grave and the spirit and soul are in Hell. The Lake of fire is the final destination of the...

In-depth Bible Study on Eternal Punishment

This is a two-fold damnable heresy! Not only does it teach that man can sin in unbelief and suffer only a partial punishment, it is using God's saving Grace against Him to lessen that punishment!

In-depth Bible Study on Eternal Punishment

The scripture plainly tells us that "whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire." Rev. 20:15 Now show us where man gets out and you will have proven your point!

In-depth Bible Study on Eternal Punishment

You have reasoned yourself into UR membership! If the lake of fire is temporary for man, meaning he will get out, show us in scripture where man gets out. Until then what you have is a theory devised man who wishes to lessen his punishment for sin!

The Popular False Justification and False Sanctification View Today.

This all began in post #512 when you said this, "This “trapped in sin” doctrine is a by-product of Once Saved Always Saved." NO, it's not! We have been set free from sin in the victory by Christ on the Cross. What you will not accept is that fallen man, even though saved, is still fallen man...

The Popular False Justification and False Sanctification View Today.

Since we agree on OSAS, I'll not start the new thread on Heb. 10:26.

Well, at least we agree on OSAS!

The Popular False Justification and False Sanctification View Today.

I think we are off topic! I couldn't log in for a while. Haven't been here for a long while, but if I remember correctly, if you go off topic that is what happens, you can't log in for a while. A kind of "think about what you're doing" thing. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not sure. Look...

The Popular False Justification and False Sanctification View Today.

The scripture makes it clear that faith is what saves us, and we must hold on to it to the end. OSAS is true as long as faith in Christ is held, but if one turns from that faith as did some of the Jews that Paul dealt with, "there remains no more sacrifice." That one and only sacrifice is Jesus...

The Popular False Justification and False Sanctification View Today.

Peter was holding on to the Law knowing that Grace had brought the Gentiles into Covenant. He was abandoning the Cross of Christ resorting to Law, playing the hypocrite not only before man, but also before God.

Gal. 2:11-14 "But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. 12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision. 13 And...

The Popular False Justification and False Sanctification View Today.

Was Peter saved when Paul called him out in front of the Church for playing the hypocrite with the Gentiles?

The Popular False Justification and False Sanctification View Today.

How do you know I'm not suffering for Christ? What about David who committed some of the worst sins known to man, was he one that you point the finger at? What about Peter when he denied Christ 3 times, and went out and wept bitterly? We all sin from time to time and if we are saved, we...

The Popular False Justification and False Sanctification View Today.

It's for sure we don't have to sin. Christ has set us free from sin, but we are fallen man with a tendency to sin, even though we are saved. I have said before it is possible to have no known sin in your life, but that certainly does not mean we can cease to sin. We make mistakes, we can't...

The Popular False Justification and False Sanctification View Today.

Paul never said we would become sinless, he said that sin would not have dominion over us. In other words, sin will not reign supreme. Believing you have ceased to sin is being deceived, it breeds self-righteousness. It's hard to believe that man can say he is sinless when he knows in his...

The Popular False Justification and False Sanctification View Today.

What makes so ridiculous is that they know they sin, but yet pretend they don't! Self-righteousness written all over it!
