The Popular False Justification and False Sanctification View Today.

It is man's natural instinct to "do something," take some part in his salvation. This will not and cannot lead to life. It's self made Law that they must do along with Grace, and that makes faith void. Rom. 4:14 "For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise...

The Popular False Justification and False Sanctification View Today.

Why did Paul say "I die daily?" He was dying to his ability to live a Christian life in any capacity. Allowing the Holy Spirit to guide him by 100% faith in Christ. Why did Christ say this? Luke 9:23-24 "And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take...

Let me add something so very important, BH. If you depend on self in any capacity to gain victory over sin, you will not make it into Glory! That is the job of the Holy Spirit and Him alone! Everything is provided for us through faith! If you don't believe that, you can kiss it all goodbye!

Well, we've found one of your problems. The flesh Paul is referring to is the dependence on self, in other words, works of your own ability. But on the other hand, if you depend on the Holy Spirit and not self to put to death the deeds of the body, you shall live. Paul did not say we will...

More reasoning and supposing! Didn't know you were so far from understanding Grace. Your posts are the result of what happens when Grace is not first and foremost in the heart of the believer.

Looks to me like a whole lot of reasoning and supposing! Better get it together BH! Rom. 11:5-6 "Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works...

What was it Paul said, something like, "not of works, lest any man should boast?" Are these posts of yours showing us your boasting of how you have taken part in your own salvation? So I guess Paul is also lying when he says "it's a free gift" but I see you are maintaining your own salvation.

Carry on with your works supporting your salvation instead of proving your salvation, making Paul a liar. As long as you've been on these boards you should know better BH!

James is saying that faith accompanied by works "proves" your salvation. Paul is saying, and has said numerous times that works has nothing to do with salvation. You can carry on with your misunderstanding of James if you like, but you will have to part ways with Paul if you do!

And I have given you the perfect scripture that illustrates that salvation is "by faith alone!"

Can you answer the simple question? If his works did not meet the Lord's standard and were burned up, what saved him?

The Popular False Justification and False Sanctification View Today.

After you read 1Cor. 3:11-15, ask yourself, if his works were burned up but yet he is still saved, what was it that saved him?

Acts 2:38 has been abandoned by Christianity

Look user, I believe that a man should do what he thinks is right according to the written Word of God! That is what I'm going to do and expect you to do the same!

Didn't Paul say that a man's works may not pass the test of God's fire and be burned up, but he will still be saved? In that case there will be no rewards, but the faith of that person has saved them. Would you call that "faith alone" that saved him?

Acts 2:38 has been abandoned by Christianity

What we have here is a total and complete lack of respect for God's redemption plan! According to you, water baptism is necessary to enter into that redemption plan. That makes water baptism equal to the Blood of Christ for that redemption. Let it be known, I will have no part in blasphemy!

Acts 2:38 has been abandoned by Christianity

The scribe said He did! But does that align with the Jesus of the rest of the Gospels?

Read on! John 4:2 "(Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)"

Acts 2:38 has been abandoned by Christianity

Which scribe down through the centuries copied Mark 16:16 and Acts 2:38 to their liking? I say that because Jesus, Paul, John, James, never said a word about it. Isn't that strange?

Acts 2:38 has been abandoned by Christianity

Don't you find it strange that Christ spoke more of salvation than anyone, but yet He never spoke of water baptism for salvation, but only believing. And furthermore, Christ never baptized anyone in water. If He is the Saviour, why did He not baptize anyone in water?
