    Church

Clever reasoning but He said: My kingdom is not of this world.

    Who was Job's accuser?

Don't see anything pesky about will or may, Bill and Sue maybe. Never heard of hyper-gracers. haven't witnessed any operations. Guess I have lived a sheltered life:)

    Church

It should be very obvious, the church/the faithful are built on Christ, not on any man. We are faithful to Christ only, not any imperfect man as all men except one are imperfect. Differing among ourselves has no bearing on the faithful in Christ. We are all like snowflakes (heavy on the flakes)...

    Are Adam and Eve.....in HEAVEN??????????????????????

When considered in the light of Hebrews 3&4 your suggestion provides food for thought.

    Who was Job's accuser?

I would not call it magic but isn't it that same faith? Who so ever will.

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

Very good video teaching. I shall save that one.

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

They are clearly brought out in chapter 32 and following if one has not detected them in the preceding chapters.

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

Billy was just a human being like us and I remember him saying, one of his deepest regrets was having not studied the bible more deeply which indicates how humble and ignorant he considered himself. PS: How upset you are over the term personal savior tells me a lot about you. How can we pray to...

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

My original post was not to you and neither was the one you are addressing here. Did you not notice I said we when referring to the ignorant? You really don't see the concept??? Why limit it to the NT??? Its in both From beginning to end!

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

If we are observant it does not take many post from a person to learn a lot about them. I could give you a list of the things I have been ignorant of and from that predict what remains:( Hmm, what was that signature I saw here recently? Something about, if you don't agree with someone, you can...

And David and Moses and Joshua and Caleb etc, etc and innumerable others whom we are not given details of. It is just mind boggling how we can study the bible and Gods creation for years and still be so ignorant.

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

After years of study and with bible in hand, you can write a post like this??? Amazing!!! No wonder Paul said a woman should be quiet in church:)

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

Ro.1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.20 For since the creation of the world His invisible...

Charles Spurgeon's Sanity Litmus Test (are you insane?)

As far as my salvation goes, what any theologian or church believes matters not a whit , only my personal relationship with God counts for anything.

    The Garden

That is fine, most folks shy away from figurative interpretation because it admittedly can easily be abused but if used correctly it can be a great help with our understanding of scripture. For instance it helps me to understand that even though God created us with a fleshly nature, that is...

    The Garden

So, do you agree the snake and the two trees are metaphors for fleshly nature, Christ and the law?
  20. jimd

    The Garden

It seems to me its because most are unwilling or unable to recognize a metaphor or figure of speech. What you refer to in Adam & Eve as a flaw is in reality a freedom to choose. Can you think of any way God could have made humans without this freedom that would not have made us primarily robots...
