Hold up! You are referring to the Holy Spirit indwelling a believer .. calling that baptism right? I'm talking about immersion in water baptism.. as a response to having already been indwelt by the Holy Spirit.

Yeah it is evidence...but not a requirement for receiving eternal life. Without baptism.. a believer still has the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in their spirit.

Yes, looking at Phillipi,Colossians, Ephesians.. etc.. They were prioritizing unity in their assembly and fellowship and love over worldly goods and possessions. Even selling all they had to share with each other. Very different to today. The unity in Christ was deep and devout.
