Western Trinitarians, do not follow the early church teaching.

Oh now I think back, that was my second from 1976, totally worn out before I found out it was Dispensational. I did not depend on its notes though and ended up Reformed. My first was a Good News one in 1973, gifted by the couple who led me to the Lord, which I soon became fed up with.

Lessons learned from Jesus: the parable of the two sons, Biblical repentance #2

Thank you I accept your apology. I asked you why Jesus rebuked the answer you gave that it was the first son who was obedient. “The first,” they answered. Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. 32 For John...

Western Trinitarians, do not follow the early church teaching.

My oldest worn out Bible is 50 years old thank you. I believe in the Trinity as three in one persons, all divine and as you have not bothered to take notice of my beliefs, I will not further converse with you unless you do thank you.

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: (John 15:26) The Father is from eternity unbegotten, the Son begotten: "According to Saint Gregory the Theologian, trying to go further...

I cannot have respect for a man who makes a deal and then gets out of it by not answering my question .

But there are different reasons to regret. Fear of the consequences is the most usual.

Lessons learned from Jesus: the parable of the two sons, Biblical repentance #2

We need to take into account which one Jesus said was the obedient one and He showed that it was not the first one. Therefore it was the second even though he did not make it. We can assume he intended to. When Jesus says jump we are not to stand thinking about it.

Lessons learned from Jesus: the parable of the two sons, Biblical repentance #2

The point of the parable is the comparison of the sons therefore l do not think the second changed his .mind. Obedience .must be instant . It is about attitude.

You might have. But then again you.might not. You have been prevented from going by unforseen circumstances. That is why we must read the text carefully and make sure we are not twisting things.

It does not say. You are reading things into the text to fit into your own ideas about sin. Sir.

Lessons learned from Jesus: the parable of the two sons, Biblical repentance #2

@Titus I made a mistake because of what you added. The second son is just said to have not gone, that's all, nothing about him changing his mind.

Lessons learned from Jesus: the parable of the two sons, Biblical repentance #2

Yes but scripture does not say the reason. Obedience is not having second thoughts and regretting it. That is not obedience. However, something cropping up to stop our obedience does not take away the intention. He could have been run over and put in hospital. It does not say.

He is teaching about obedience. It is my understanding. It was intention that showed the obedience.
