How was Jesus able to forgive people before He went to the cross? If God required him to shed his blood first on the cross, in order to forgive people, that would mean Jesus was merely handing out rain checks of forgiveness, which only became valid after the cross.

From what you teach, is it possible for a born again believer to still commit sin? Or is it impossible for them to do so? Like having hatred in their heart (which Jesus points out is as bad as committing murder), or lusting over a woman (which Jesus states is committing adultery).
