Is your faith your own? - Is "the Faith" prescribed by a human institution?

Sillier that thinking that the sun or the rattlesnake "waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God"? I don't think there is much that is sillier than that.

Is your faith your own? - Is "the Faith" prescribed by a human institution?

Where exactly do you read about that.

Then I repeat myself. I think that your entire analysis of that passage is pure nonsense. You have not supported your argument with scripture. You have simply chosen the wrong translation/interpretation of the Greek word "ktisis"

Is your faith your own? - Is "the Faith" prescribed by a human institution?

How else are they to "wait with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God"?

Is your faith your own? - Is "the Faith" prescribed by a human institution?

I believe nature is exactly as God created it to be.

Is your faith your own? - Is "the Faith" prescribed by a human institution?

Let me understand what your point is. You think that the Greek word "ktisis" in Romans 8:18-23 means God's entire creation, the entire universe and everything in it; but, it doesn't include the lost humanity?

Is your faith your own? - Is "the Faith" prescribed by a human institution?

You didn't support it with scripture. You just picked the translation/interpretation of the Greek word κτίσις [ktisis] that you wanted. Why would I need to refute that. It was simply your choice. And a really poor one at that. How about Mark 16:15? And he said to them, "Go into all the...

Is your faith your own? - Is "the Faith" prescribed by a human institution?

Personally, I think that your entire analysis of that passage is pure nonsense. And I don't mean that in any derogatory or mean spirited way. But the idea that any part of the brute creation has a conscience being that could engage in the manner you suggest is neither biblical nor scientific...

Is your faith your own? - Is "the Faith" prescribed by a human institution?

In the Romans 8 passage, the translation/interpretation of the Greek to get the English word "creation" meaning the whole of creation is just wrong. The only "creation" in view is humanity. The rocks, trees, mountains, oceans, animals are not waiting eagerly or at all for anything.

Is your faith your own? - Is "the Faith" prescribed by a human institution?

That is true, but that doesn't mean that there isn't a basic fundamental and unique truth provided. Much of NT after the book of Acts is dealing with the lack of consensus posing issues within the various congregations. It remains for us to decipher the truth. Also, the lack of consensus does...

Is your faith your own? - Is "the Faith" prescribed by a human institution?

There is no such thing as evil in nature other than that associated with mankind, It gives the answer to the problem of evil with respect to us humans and also perhaps to that with respect to angels, although we have considerably less understanding given us there.

Is your faith your own? - Is "the Faith" prescribed by a human institution?

God created the creature with the ability to choose whether or not to obey.

Is your faith your own? - Is "the Faith" prescribed by a human institution?

Evil is not a created entity. It is a response of a created being contrary to God's command. And yes, it is by the free will of the created creature from which the disobedience derives and produces evil.

Is your faith your own? - Is "the Faith" prescribed by a human institution?

He created the angel who rebelled and became Satan. Satan is a part of the group of angels who sinned (2 Peter 2:4), and is actually the leader of these rebellious spirits. His one-on-one contest with Michael the archangel in Jude 9, and his position as leader of the demonic force that opposed...

Can Kamala Harris talk her way out of these disasters?

The problem we face today is that the great majority of voters on both sides, democrat and republican, don't really pay much attention to what is really going on and why the bad things are happening. They don't vote the person, they vote the party. Most haven't the slightest idea that the...

    Romans 6

The Law has not gone away. God's ritual and ceremonial law has been replaced. However. the believer has not been released from obeying God's moral law. The believer has been forgiven for his failure to keep the law. But in his love for God, the believer will strive to obey God's law.

    Romans 6

There are nearly as many moral laws in the NT as in the OT. Bet you can't name 40 of those either without looking them up.

    Romans 6

No it doesn't mean their deeds no longer being qualified as sin. It means that the debt they owe because of their sins have been paid already. Not at all. Being born again does not mean we no longer have to obey God's law. We can't murder, steal, covet, or any of the rest of that. It means...

    Romans 6

To be made free from sin is not made free from sinning. We are forgiven.
