I will give an opportunity for several people to respond.

Sorry EG, Thats not the question.

    The salvation journey.

At the start of the salvation journey, we all start without the Spirit of Christ sealed in us yet. agree or disagree?

    The salvation journey.

I understand the "Spirit of Christ" and the Holy Spirit to be the same.

    The salvation journey.

The salvation journey is a sort of process. It starts with the life, work and sacrifice Christ did while on earth, This is Grace. His work on Calvary cannot be imitated, added onto, or made better in any way. Salvation is by Grace through Faith. Salvation is by that free unmerited favor...

    Is believing/faith a work ?

Hi ETB, I'm going to start a thread and shine a red hot spot light on the things that must happen in the salvation process or journey, and the order in which they must happen. Hope you'll chime in so i can understand you better.

Salvation is by Grace through Faith.

Yes that is the correct way to interpret pisteuo. Not using the Noun "Faith" as you did, but using the verb "Faithe" the word the translators should have had available to translate pisteuo. True NT Faith or the application of said Faith, faithing "is" we faithe into Jesus Christ. No , my...

Salvation is by Grace through Faith.

So you're disagreement isn't with me but the Greek scholars who provided the exact definition in the Vines. And as I explained above, In the English "belief" is a noun, "believe" is the corresponding verb to the noun "belief". THE WORDS BELIEF AND BELIEVE ARE NOT IN THE GREEK VOCABULARY.

Salvation is by Grace through Faith.

Honestly, I admit I don't think about satan and his demons much at all. But lets look at the problems with using pisteuo, a continually surrendered life, which is communicated solely to us and James adding demons to the fold. Pisteuo or what should have been translated faithing in the English...

Salvation is by Grace through Faith.

Pisteuo takes work (not works) and effort, that's the true salvation response that results in receiving the Spirit of Christ. Believing is only believing and can never result in receiving the Spirit of Christ. The people have performed work and effort, it's because you are standing on the...

Salvation is by Grace through Faith.

The "churches" of today all have one thing in common. They are tripping over a stumbling block. Maybe it was laid by Christ. "I lay in Zion a stumbling stone that causes men to stumble." The stumbling stone I'm referring to is all the churches stand on the "mistranslated" words believe...

Salvation is by Grace through Faith.

There is no such thing as "only believing" in the Greek language. Strong Greek dictionary gives the disclaimer, "pisteuo means not just to believe." Context, gender, tenses, doesn't change the core definition of the Greek word Pisteuo. Only the one trying to translate pisteuo into the English...

Salvation is by Grace through Faith.

Yes they have if you apply the correct Greek definition. The Greek is the most precise language on the planet, the English not the worst but close to it.

Salvation is by Grace through Faith.

Our limited framework of understanding reduces salvation to a process in my mind. Things that MUST happen, and happen in the right order. Open to any better suggestions on that. Jesus was 100% man, a !00% God at all times all the time. Christianity requires this paradox must be accepted going...

Salvation is by Grace through Faith.

Trying to shine light on the fact there is no such thing as "a believer" in the Greek language, there also is no such thing as an "unbeliever". There is only Pisteuo, "a continually surrendered life, and living a life inspired by such surrender". This is faithing towards God. And there's...

Salvation is by Grace through Faith.

Don"t agree that the relationship is "synergy", the deeper aspects are paradoxical as per the Greek texts, taught by a gifted teacher, and discerned by His Spirit.
  18. F

Salvation is by Grace through Faith.

The "synergy" is paradoxical. Example: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one entity. but three separate entities at all times , all the time. Example: Jesus was 100% man and 100% God at all times, in all respects, in every way. Christianity requires this going out the gate. Jesus taught...

Salvation is by Grace through Faith.

For the most part i agree with your understanding. But i don't think our relationship with Christ is a partnership of sorts. We surrender daily, live life making decisions that support such surrender, We don't bring any terms to the table. we surrender to be a slave to the one we surrender to...

Salvation is by Grace through Faith.

Trust is a part of Faith but taken as a whole for salvation would be error. The Greek has the noun Pistis where we get our English word Faith. The Greek also has a corresponding verb to noun pistis, pisteuo. Pisteuo is a verb an action word. The English language didnt have a corresponding verb...
