Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

100% true, and thank you. That is also true. Walter Martin's agenda was to "defend the flock" by telling his congregation how horrible all of these other people were. Martin's disciples have likewise carried on that tradition. However, that agenda driven "anti-cult" portrayal of "Mormon"...

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

Having studied dozens of different faiths/denominations, my experience is that a "cult" is found when persons are discouraged to think/investigate for themselves, and instead everything points to just that human leader & his/her view saving the day. It accompanied with a huge echo change, a lot...

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

"Kingdom of Cults" and rest of these points is GROSSLY inaccurate and toxic. I would urge anyone to, instead of following Walter Martin (or any other human), to instead follow Christ yourself. In whatever denomination you may be. Focus on Christ. If along the way you happen to want to know...

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

I would urge you to stay away from "anti-cult" rhetoric then, and instead just stay focused on Christ, the Savior of the World.

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

Thoroughly. I first read the Bible cover to cover at age 9. Since then many book specific studies and topical-specific studies. Jesus Christ is my Lord & Savior. The very foundation of whom I am. Without Him I literally would not be here.

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

You have mocked me many times on here. You've called "demon", "cultist", have beliefs completely twisted and mocked. Is this behavior that Christ would have you do? No! I do not doubt your love of the Lord. But I would urge you to follow His Two Great Commandments, and let your love of...

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

Christ and His Church do not need “defended” by people jeering at others. If you are a lover of Christ, then ACTUALLY talk to people about their love of Christ! Show them love as Christ did, sitting with every sinner!

    Understanding the Trinity.

    Hah! Indeed.
  9. J

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

Have you discussed beliefs or Christ with me, a “Mormon”? No you just mock. It doesn’t bring anyone closer to Christ.

    Understanding the Trinity.

From an academic theological point, what you are describing is Modulism, not Trinitarism.
  11. J

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

I was not the one referring to others as "cultist" or "demons" etc. Have a nice day.
  12. J

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

Christ is the center of my world. If you would like to hear about that & listen, let me know. But I'm not interested in being mocked.
  13. J

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

*sigh* If the only thing you want to do is call folks "cultist" or "demon" and mock, then that's your choice. David, if you ever want to talk about Christ and beliefs, let me know.
  14. J

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

Then actually talk to people about what they believe and (most importantly) talk to them about their relationship with Christ. Skip the mocking and name calling.
  15. J

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

Again: Discussing beliefs is a good thing. Such should be done with charity and being accurate. Things like mocking, strawman arguments, and name calling are not Christ-like behaviors and don't bring anyone closer to Him.

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

FYI, “Mormons” are welcomed on this board and you putting someone else’s beliefs through a fun-hous-mirror to mock them is extremely poor behavior.

    Understanding the Trinity.

Here's a thing that makes me scratch my head: There are folks that proclaim that "it's essential that you believe in the Trinity!", but when I ask lifelong believing adults about that is, especially beyond just a surface answer, they don't have one. Does that mean that those folks aren't saved...
  19. J

    Understanding the Trinity.

    That doesn’t address my question.

    Understanding the Trinity.

Why must a person ratify co-substancail? Is man saved by their ability to to pass a theology test? I’m not ask if theology is important- it’s very important.
