Is your faith your own? - Is "the Faith" prescribed by a human institution?

This thread strikes me as being in the same vein as "endless genealogies" (1 Timothy 1:4) that the Bible condemns. You don't need to know what motivated your faith, separate to what motivated the Holy Spirit to reach you. The point is not to become more objective, but more relational.

The Holy Spirit triumphs over the anti-christ - the secret of Revelation revealed (ready?)

Hi there, So I have been following the unveiling of events as prophesied in Revelation as close as I have been able (it was the first book I read, once I had confessed my sins to God) and I finally have an interpretation that fits - specifically the world's response to guilt, in fear of the...

In Heaven we have law to differentiate, praise to unite and prophecy to choose between (excited?)

"Those who dwell in Heaven" does not imply that 'people are in Heaven'? This must be the first time in my life, when I am speechless. If there is a door to it, the other side of that door is a destination. You sound like someone who is waiting to be told they are "in Heaven" - that's not how...

If your attitude to "sin" is the same as your attitude to "iniquity": you need prayer! (Please pray for me)

Hi there, I am in a spiritual struggle and it has dawned on me, that my attitude to sin is the same as my attitude to iniquity - I think of sin as "wrong", but no more wrong than "iniquity". This cannot be the case. I am throwing myself on your mercy, because I want to be an example of someone...

The “feet” of the Bear kingdom

In response to the OP: The feet of a bear (referred to in Revelation) is talking about people who have a form of godliness, but deny it's power (NT letters, from memory). These people have a grip on reality - bear's feet - but deny its connection with God. It's like saying there is such a thing...

Scripture says "in His Name, the Gentiles will trust" - what will 'Evolutionist Gentiles' trust in Jesus?

God will both answer them (the Evolutionists) and bring us out of their midst (as He did with the people of Israel, in ancient Egypt). Claim this in faith, if you want to be part of the Exodus! Thank you Jesus, for my brothers and sisters under your blood!

Miracles, healing, tongues, and the interpretation of tongues were temporary sign gifts limited to the apostolic age and have, therefore, ceased.

In response to the OP: Gifts in the Holy Spirit's Day (following the Lord's) will be meaning (impossible to know but by God), insight (impossible to follow but by the Lord) and trust (as does not depart from Wisdom).

In Heaven we have law to differentiate, praise to unite and prophecy to choose between (excited?)

Yes but Revelation 13:6-7 talks about the anti-christ "blaspheming" those in Heaven. How do they get blasphemed in Heaven if there is no way to get there? Your other quotes are ambiguous (to my thinking), Jesus is the Door; how can you say "only the Door can enter Heaven"? You are muddling up...

The anti-christ rejects "birth", and so is unable to be born again (slavery to sin?)

The thing that will be our salvation, in relation to the anti-christ, is the Holy Spirit's quickening. The anti-christ may not believe in many things, but he will have reason to believe the Holy Spirit's quickening. Actually, this is something we should pray for!

Thread on "Two Witnesses" in Christian Theology section, should be in the Eschatology section

Hi there, It's not urgent, but I mistakenly posted a thread on "Two Witnesses" in Christian Theology, when I should have posted it in Eschatology. My apologies for the inconvenience.

The Two Witnesses (Rev) are told "Come up here"; if they reach Heaven, will they not also come back to Earth? (important?)

Hi there, So the Two Witnesses are told "come up here" in Revelation 11:12 (that is, "come to Heaven"). But what are the implications of this? Jesus ascended to Heaven and promised to return. If Jesus ascends and promises to return, how is it that the Two Witnesses - called by a voice in Heaven...

Please pray for my poor unfortunate sister

My understanding is that schizophrenia (like all mental health issues) is unique to the nation it is in. I'm not saying nothing can be done, I'm saying what can be done is specific. Yes, something can be done - that is what we should be praying for.

    Prayers needed

My family have struggled with my mental health. They would always interpret things the way they wanted - "You kicked the cat!" 'no, I moved it slowly with my foot' (I would say). Then they put me on awful medication and I had a melt-down. In the end I was exonerated. It's still hard to trust...

In Heaven we have law to differentiate, praise to unite and prophecy to choose between (excited?)

Hi there, So there is a reason you have found eschatology so fascinating, in your walk with Christ - here on these forums! The reason is that prophecy plays a big part of the next phase of life: Heaven. In Heaven, we are not bound to believe in just one kind of prophecy, nor are there so many...

If you can laugh at your cure, you are not far from being well (selah)

Hi there, So this is a simple proverb that has helped me immensely, so I thought I would share: Just think this over "I am not well, but I don't need to rush to curing myself", "I am prepared to laugh, but not at everything", or "as happy as I am at my cure, there is room for improvement" -...

"Gratitude" makes an impact on God, even when you are not on speaking terms about anything else (encouraging?)

Hi there, So there is something in common, between God and Man: both of them respond favourably to gratitude. I'm not exactly sure what the effect is called, but it has been established that flattery works, even when you know you are being flattered. In this sense, God is great at taking a...

is it a sin to play this game?

Two things: one, live by imagination, don't die for glory (better a cowardly dog, than a dead lion - OT) Two, the heart of play, is the time it takes to do good (selah). In other words, you should be playing a game that not only allows you to do good, but improves on how good you are. You may...

The world cycles through happy times and sad times, is this spitting in the wind? (Solomon?)

In terms of hot and cold Churches, what this observation means is that sometimes cold churches will be happy, sometimes cold churches will be sad. All very easy predictions for someone who wants to build up to bigger prophecy - understanding and predicting.
  19. G

Even at the end: Churches gonna be hot, churches gonna be cold - some will predict it, some not?

I suppose I should be praying that my Church get colder. That's a good way to tell, if you really are as cold as you say you are!

    Seek Wisdom

The more humble you are, the more Wisdom can keep growing you (selah)
