Hi there,
So I have been following the unveiling of events as prophesied in Revelation as close as I have been able (it was the first book I read, once I had confessed my sins to God) and I finally have an interpretation that fits - specifically the world's response to guilt, in fear of the Holy Spirit's rule. Now the book of Revelation says that a male child will come to rule them with a rod of iron, but it also talks about an anti-christ that will crush the spirit of the people and we know that a similar event happened in Jesus' Day, viz., that Jesus was feared to come and condemn the world in its sin - and from these two things we have a parallel that answers the question "How will the Holy Spirit bring the Lord's sacrifice to remembrance?" What is less clear, is how the Lord became victor over King Herod in his day, since we typically focus on the cross. What Revelation promises - albeit in secret - is that the Holy Spirit will overcome the anti-christ in like manner.
The Majesty of this will be something to behold, but essentially, the Holy Spirit will crush the serpent behind the anti-christ and his sin - this takes spiritual discernment, but it is as the Word says "he who sins is the slave of sin" (John, from memory) therefore whoever's "sinful root is crushed, is no longer as great a sinner": the freedom Christ provided believers on the Cross by dying for their sin, the world will become aware of, in freedom from the root of sin. This will be a new Age. The contest will cease to be "who sins the least?" (as we struggle with from times past) but "who is most aware of the answer to sin?". Indeed the faith will have a place of exultation, to some extent, in as much as they have provided this answer by faith, in Christ. There is now "no fear of" condemnation to those who are in the Holy Spirit!
Our witness will be bold and many will come to faith, even in their relationship to God - as was promised, "they shall all be taught by God". This is so, because they will see the Hand of God in their salvation, even before their belief takes root. But is this forced? No! For the anti-christ himself will concede that life without temptation, grievance and failure of hope is better, better even when sinning non-stop! For sin will remain, how ever much it is loathed (as Jesus said "offences must come, but woe to that man by whom the offence comes" Gospels, from memory). It should be some relief, that the tribulation that sin brings will be dealt with, with hope of righteousness and unending elation at prolonging peace without Judgment, still to come. God still has the choice between making the Holy Spirit's sacrifice a curse or a blessing, but with so great a calling: who can think that there will be no blessing at all? The world will have no choice but to believe that the Holy Spirit has come, that He has delivered and that all are free in Him.
This is the secret of Revelation - I hope this has been of some encouragement to you.
God bless.
