    "the lesser evil"

So, if I’m sitting in a voting booth and both options are trash.... Or a million other times where all available options are just trash.

Killing in the name of (Smurfette)

Christians aren’t clones. There’s a huge variety in personalities, takes, beliefs, etc.

    Is baptimal regeneration biblical?

    DNB isn’t a Protestant.

    Can Christians Celebrate Halloween?

Again, the question is "why are you emptying your mind"? I empty / quiet my mind before studying scriptures, because naturally my mind jumps around like a hyper-caffinated-jack-rabbit. Sitting still, taking some deep breaths, and emptying myself of all of that busy-busy-busy-distractions is a...

What are you favorite traditions for giving thanks?

    Can Christians Celebrate Halloween?

You know, I'm going to go make a positive Christmas thread. -- Wait -- cross that. Thanksgiving is first.

    Can Christians Celebrate Halloween?

"Mormons" also believe in the Bible. It's just not Sola Scirptura. Honestly, I've never met a pure sola scirptura person. As to the mediating question: depends on your definition of "mediating". I would say meditating as in "pondering and studying" is a critical part of the Christian walk.

    Is baptimal regeneration biblical?

Better question: why should a person be baptized? Once you talk about the why, then everything else comes second. The two major camps here are: 1) Baptism is something done to you (including non-believers) as a mark of your parent's discipleship to mark a person and alleviate Original Sin...

Mans Inability to come to Christ

FYI, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (nicknamed "Mormons") do indeed love Christ, love the Bible etc. Including myself. That's not actually the core of the disagreement here. Nobody is denying the Christ loved first. The disagreements are on: 1) Whether or not God...

    NOTHING Overrules the New Covenant

I also agree that the New Covenant doesn't mean that we toss the Old Testament out the window. It's teachings are still valid and important. Even if the New Testament "rules" are different in some ways (like not requiring male circumsism), we do still love our neighbors, be honest, don't...

The Watchtower Society At Our Doors

Not sure what this has to do with my post. Mu point was: if you want to teaching what you believe to be true truth, then focus your time teaching that. Not wasting time rattling on about what you think somebody else believes.

The Watchtower Society At Our Doors

My guess (having not remotely been there and not being a JW) is that the information you had was not accurate and people felt misrepresented, which is very unpleasant for anyone.

Mans Inability to come to Christ

The important questions here are really 1) Does God offer the gift of salvation to all men? 2) is this a gift - meaning a person can choose to accept or reject it. Or does a person have zero choice in the matter. I myself am a staunch believer that God offers His gift to every person, and it...

    Should Christians Celebrate Halloween?

That's not remotely accurate as to actual beliefs in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or any of the other groups you mentioned.

If Baptism could save then there is no need for the shed Blood of Jesus.

Actually my comment was in response to another poster, whom I quoted. As to your blind prejudice: That’s your problem alone.

If Baptism could save then there is no need for the shed Blood of Jesus.

Baptism is to be done by believers whom have faith in Christ. A non believer getting baptized doesn’t do much.

    Commitment Over Marriage

Now one thing that is not needed: all of the Disney princess frillingness. Wanting frilliness is a horrible excuse to postpone marriage. Note: I don’t think this applies to AR’s case. But I have heard this excuse in other cases, including my best friend of many years.

    Commitment Over Marriage

There’s way more to marriage than legal protection.

    Commitment Over Marriage

Marriage (properly done) IS a sacramental ceremony: a covenant between God+man+woman.

    Commitment Over Marriage

Stating "X is sinful" doesn't equate to a personal attack. Christ called out sin lots of time. For example, the woman caught in adultery was specifically told to go and sin no more". And we do still love sinners.
