"I am a sinner saved by grace" vs. "I am made righteous through the blood of Christ."

Does being cleansed of sin not mean that we are set free from the doing of sin in our lives?

    Once Saved Always Saved

If we turn our ears away from hearing the law, even our prayer shall be an abomination (Proverbs 28:9); and through the law is the knowledge of sin (Romans 3:20). You seem to think that being conscious of sin when we commit it is some kind of wrong thing. The only time we can rightly be...

Do you not believe that this is in the practical sense?

    Tong's teaching on Romans 11.

Of course it is saving grace...and therefore you have lost this argument.

Confession of Sin is a ONE TIME Event in order to Get Saved and STAY Saved

If you turn your ears away from hearing the law, even your prayer shall be an abomination (Proverbs 28:9). So, you appear to be saying that in order to be under grace, we must turn our ears away from hearing the law. Is that reasonable?

    Tong's teaching on Romans 11.

So, is this saving grace or not?

WE ARE NOT SAVED BY WORKS...WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

Those who are of the world will listen to you eagerly (1 John 4:5). Those who are being spoken to by the Spirit of God will heed what the holy scriptures have to say on the matter apart from commentary that convolutes the issue (see also 1 John 4:6).

    Once Saved Always Saved

satan loves to give people a false security in the doctrine of OSAS so that they believe that they can continue in a lifestyle of sinning and still be saved.

"I am a sinner saved by grace" vs. "I am made righteous through the blood of Christ."

The OP did not come about over the fact that I am a "busy beaver"... It came about because I was listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit as I was resting and seeking what He wanted me to say. This is correct. 2Co 5:21, For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might...

"I am a sinner saved by grace" vs. "I am made righteous through the blood of Christ."

It is most certainly found in the Bible. For, if someone is a "worker / doer of iniquity" they will be cast into the furnace of everlasting fire (Matthew 13:41-42; Matthew 7:23, Matthew 25:41). And since we are born dead in trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1) we are "workers / doers of...

"I am a sinner saved by grace" vs. "I am made righteous through the blood of Christ."

So, are you trying to say that righteousness is not a practical thing? I believe that righteousness is practical in nature. 1Jo 3:7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 1Jo 3:17, But whoso hath this world's good, and...

Luk 6:22, Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Luk 6:23, Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the...

Confession of Sin is a ONE TIME Event in order to Get Saved and STAY Saved

Of course, we are sin conscious because the law shows us our sin (Romans 3:20). It should be clear that if anyone turns his ears away from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be an abomination (Proverbs 28:9). So, if we are not sin conscious, but rather are Son conscious, the only way to be...

    "Loving yourself"

There are those who teach that it is imperative that we love ourselves because if we don't love ourselves we can't love other people. They cite the second greatest commandment in the law, which is even the royal law according to scripture, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." The fact...

"I am a sinner saved by grace" vs. "I am made righteous through the blood of Christ."

This thread will be for a debate between those who hold these opinions. I open up the first post for those who hold the opinion of "I am a sinner saved by grace." Make your cases with respect.

    Hebrews 4:12.

There is only a slight distinction between the two. The flesh is very much wrapped up in our physical bodies, see Romans 8:12-13.

WE ARE NOT SAVED BY WORKS...WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

I am not teaching that any of those things are the Saviour. We are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8); and water baptism doth also now save us (1 Peter 3:20-21)...but works and law-keeping are the result of a genuine salvation; not the catalyst for it.

The Myth of saying that Jesus Christ died for all men without exception !

Except that Calvinism is not the gospel that Paul preached; it is the gospel that Calvin preached; some 1600 years after Paul. Since all in Adam die, that is speaking of all who are in Adam. Those who are in Christ are not in Adam. All in Christ are made alive. You think this means with...
