Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

It is God's prerogative when to resurrect the dead or translate the living. They are resurrected because they are dead; they are translated because God chooses that they don't see the death (sleep) which is endemic to humanity. Moses was resurrected even though it doesn't specifically say so...

Why do you avoid doctrinal discussion?

Doctrines without Jesus at their core (the primary determiner) is an exercise in egotism ie, self aggrandisement. The alarming thing is that many have no idea what is meant by having Jesus at the core.

Any pretext for the West's propaganda, even invented ones! Have you read the propaganda from the other side? Oh you mean all their propaganda are inventions and the West is not tarred by that brush......hmmmm.

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

We just don't seem to learn the lesson that violence begets violence. This is not the method of the Kingdom of God. He woos us with unprecedented kindness and it misinterpreted as either weakness or threat by most. Jesus was murdered because God's methods didn't suit men. Men insist on force...

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

I don't think so. Revelation 6:15-17 reveals that it is those who don't want to know Jesus and the assumed wrath that he has, who desire a violent end to their lives. Death is the preferred choice of living with shame and guilt for those who refuse the gift of forgiveness. They recognise The...

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

Resorting to violence to 'solve' a problem....irrespective of how it's packaged, is the expression of the unvarnished carnal nature.

I can see you believe Solomon had it right. Can you see Jesus implementing this strategy?

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

Equating discipline with physical violence is an error akin to excusing killing in war as not being murder. Redefining words to suit the desires of the carnal nature under the banner of being honourable is ever mans objective.

Is it biblical? - What does that even mean?

Your emphasis is misplaced thus creating a distortion of the Gospel.....one which appears, you prefer.

Is it biblical? - What does that even mean?

Jack, why are you turning away from God's kindness? 'What you have done to the least, you have done it to me'.....Jesus. Our attitude determines our words and behaviour.

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

Hmmmmm; if it is objectionable to strike an adult, it must be doubly objectionable to strike a child! This needs chewing on......and further, ones understanding of the text you've quoted.

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism Conflict, oppression and the need to have the upper hand over anything are the fruits of honouring and strengthening the self. It matters not what variation this is presented in. It is the focus which has self as its primary concern and objective...

    Neck, Throat, and Heart

Why would God be doing something negative to you? He gave his life for you. Romans 8:32-35 It is Satan who has come to steal kill and destroy. John 10:10

Can God not save souls, before, during and after the Tribulation?

Can God not save souls, before, during and after the Tribulation? Longsuffering means never giving up. It is us (humans) who give up. God is in the saving business. If he wasn't we (humans) would have ceased to exist long ago. As an example; Noah was clear when he told the antediluvians a...

    Could Jesus have sinned?

Could Jesus have sinned? If he couldn't I doubt the Devil would have tried to get him to.
