Friendly Bible Study - participants must agree to Nicene Creed.

I have discovered to my joy that Jesus is my Saviour; not my theology, not my behaviour, not anything I can bring to the party. There are many accusing voices, particularly religious ones, they tell me I'm not up to scratch in one way or the other yet who can seperate me from the love of my...

Friendly Bible Study - participants must agree to Nicene Creed.

The gift given in Jesus is mouth stopping. It renders all and any performance in man, even the best as woefully inadequate. Our focus becomes riveted on that which appears glorious to us, either God's gift or our perceived convoluted piety. Ultimately our words reveal either reality.

Friendly Bible Study - participants must agree to Nicene Creed.

Our focus determines our words. Focus on anything apart from that which is critical (Jesus) and the merry path of distraction grows under the guise of piety and importance. Words that matter are those which generate hope not rightness.

    Perceptual Reality and Spiritual Understanding

My understanding through the years has grown (changed, honed) I recall as a young person being confused about the various views presented. One day I came across this ditty, 'be my feelings what they will, Jesus is my Saviour still' It was the source of immense comfort....and still is. Some of...

Why I Would Not Like Jesus

This is how I would. Let's say we start with Matthew 5:1-16; the beautiful attitudes.

Illegal migrant voted twice using stolen identity, other illegals found on voting rolls

If you understood what the Hegelian Dialectic is Debp you would not be in a hurry to be myopic.

Illegal migrant voted twice using stolen identity, other illegals found on voting rolls

Terrorists are everywhere. Does that mean that all are terrorists? The charge of terrorists, terrorists, terrorists might just be a convenient way to keep tight fisted, unforgiving, blaming and segregation the holy grail of the self righteous who care nothing for suffering humanity.

Illegal migrant voted twice using stolen identity, other illegals found on voting rolls

Are we not all citizens of Earth? Who is there that is illegal? Do we not all vote for our ruler or are we myopic? Ahhhh, yes, that is certainly a part of the problem.....we are oblivious to how many fingers point to ourselves when we point at others.......and how do we start telling others...

Was Jesus Heretical? - Why did they crucify Him?

Was Jesus Heretical? - Why did they crucify Him? He threatened the whole economy. Forgiveness was the temple business around which the economy thrived. Jesus bypassed the whole process. He forgave sins unilaterally without ever sending anyone to the temple.....besides his acceptance of the...

    Why no question?

It is clear this is what you see in your minds eye .....all the while attempting to foist it onto the minds eye of others.

    Why no question?

Your approach in justifying yourself f2f is to put the other persons view down. You assume if you use 'muscle' in this way you have an advantage. Attempting to reveal something to a person who is sure they already know is a exercise in futility so I will leave you to figments of your imagination.

    Why no question?

You are mistaken f2f. Jesus clearly identifies Satan as a malevolent being as does the book of Revelation even while the OT doesn't......and your denial suites his purposes.

    Anybody else?

I would say he has one. What he does with him is his prerogative.

    Anybody else?

You have a Saviour. Resistance encourages hopelessness and dread its consequence.

Why I Would Not Like Jesus

....and even today 2000 yrs after THE event, Israel maintains its assumed superior understanding of matters relating to God revealed in their mantra of choice 'The most important commandment is this: “Hear, O Israel, the Eternal One is our God, and the Eternal One is the only God.'

Why I Would Not Like Jesus

Metaphors are an integral part of any language. When we casually use the expression 'it's raining cats and dogs', those unschooled in our particular culture will wonder what felines and other fury creatures are doing dropping out of the sky.
