OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

Cutting to the chase here and going to VERY blunt: Mary, I have studied Catholicism for a number of years. I have attended various Catholic services for over a decade, studied RCIA material, read the CCC, studied different rites, had many deep long conversations (months+) about Catholic...

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

If that is your only goal here, the result of your actions will be only fuel anti-Catholic hatred and convince people that Catholics do not know Christ. Just as their efforts to evangelize the Catholics that "don't have the truth" will only fuel your grudge against them.

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

Mary, if you only want to talk to Catholics / people who share Catholic views, perhaps you would be happier on a Catholic-centric forum such "Catholic Answers Forum"?

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

I think I've gotten a fairly good idea of what and why you believe what you do. I do thank you for further my understanding of you in that regard. If you have any more questions on my explaining my beleifs, I'm happy to answer. Of course trying to "win over" another person here isn't my goal...

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

Honestly Taken, the more and more of your writing I'm reading, the more and more it seems... *Jane hunts for the right words here*.... suffice it to say that my reading/studying of scripture gives a very different picture.

BAPTISM SAVES, FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS"

There's nothing respectful about you! And by your logic I am a sinner for respecting you and Catholicism! And say that I should repent of loving you! No, I do not accept this belief of yours. I do not find it scriptural. I am a disciple of the Son of God whom taught us to bless those that...

BAPTISM SAVES, FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS"

Ok, so I find the Catholic church to teach some false beliefs. Therefore, (by your logic) I am sinning when I: - Correct people when they say falsehoods about Catholic beliefs - Stand up for a Catholic when they are mocked for their beliefs by others - Love and support Catholic individuals. -...

BAPTISM SAVES, FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS"

Mary, I have asked you the question "in your opinion/beliefs, how should are person who believes some false tenets be treated?" half a dozen different ways now. You have not answered it again and again. And yes, I find Catholicism to be a church that believes some false tenets. I advocate...

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

For an unrepented lie, yes, the second death. (Note: Such repentance is gauged by the state of heart, not the instantaneous moment).

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

Lying is lying. It is a sin. Doesn't matter who the liar is or the person being lied to.

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

Exodus 20:16 When a man sins (which all man can and do), he is no longer of God, but a servant of the devil doing the devil's ways (see the earlier verses in the same chapter). He needs to repent and come back to God. Yes, this happens time and time again. Defintion of sin: To commit sin...

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

Lying is specifically included in the 2nd Great Commandment, which is a summarization of the 10 commandments dealing with men. I'm trying not to be offensive here. Trying really hard. But saying that it's impossible for a a converted men to sin is the same thing as saying he has the license...

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

Mark 12:28-34 Anything less than loving your neighbor is a direct violation of the second Great Commandment and a sin, yes even a sin against God because they are His commandments. Because you are acting like you believe conversion is a license to sin. It is not. When a converted man sins then...

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

Mark 12:28-34 King James Version (KJV) 28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? 29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The...

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

Because this man has turn away from the Lord to sin and violated the Lord's commandment. He has sinned against the Lord AND his fellow man. He gets down on his knees as asks the Lord for His forgiveness, as well as acknowledging/apologizing to the man he lied too.

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

Yes. He is in need of repentance and turning back to the Lord. Same with any person lying to any other person-- ain't nothing special about one person or another. EVERY person on this planet sins EVERY day. EVERY person is in desperate need of Him EVERY day. EVERY person should strive to...

What happens if one person in a marrige lives according to God and the other does not

It would be unethical for you to marry a woman whom you do not fully intend to be one with (that includes spiritually).

What happens if one person in a marrige lives according to God and the other does not

I am not sola scriptura. Nor do I believe that it is Christ's will for a wife to stay in a situation where is beaten, her children are threatened, substance is abused, etc (just for a few examples). Both for the wife's sake and also for the children's sake (such is not a healthy person to be...

What happens if one person in a marrige lives according to God and the other does not

Divorce is NEVER easy. It is always a tragedy and shatters multiple people's lives. But sometimes it is the lesser tragedy.
