@theefaith Oops! I forgot I was talking to a representative of an organization that actually blesses idolatry, whose Pope kisses the Quran a book inspired by the spirit of antichrist (denying the Son). Blasphemers. Come and "teach" us the eternal faith. Protestants are anathema but not pacha...

Hinduism must also be divine by that line of reasoning. Satanism too. And Buddhism. And Shintoism.

That's involved in the "investigative" process--but if it was good enough for Jude it's good enough for me. I can follow in their footsteps.

is doing sexual things with a boyfriend/girlfriend sin...

You are giving this person bad advice. They post so much about lust. Do they need someone saying pre-marital sex is not a sin and having sex is itself marriage? No. First of all, if sex were marriage there would be no fornication. Am I missing something? @thelord's_pearl Every post you make is...

Law of Moses forbade Jews marrying non-Jews Deuteronomy 7:3-4. Samson was disobedient to God. Today, this same law is in place, "only in the Lord" 1 Corinthians 7:39.

Correction : You did NOT see it played out, because Samson married a Philistine Judges 14:1; Paul stipulates marriage partners are ONLY Christians (for Samson that would've been a Jewess).

FWIW I haven't read Enoch probably since 2006--I have too many questions about Christianity to waste my time reading Enoch.

Seems obvious. Religious Jews (Paul was one) don't "date"--they meet a couple times to see if they like one another FOR MARRIAGE PURPOSES, then, if they like one another FOR MARRIAGE PURPOSES, the date is set and they are married and begin having children.

is doing sexual things with a boyfriend/girlfriend sin...

1 Corinthians 7 1Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.a 2But because there is so much sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband. People aren't supposed to have girlfriends and boyfriends, they're supposed to...

Ummm... cited by an authoritative text--lived by the authors? Seems like it's fair game to investigate and possibly find value and blessing. I'm just talking about following in their footsteps.

No, I would NOT endorse the Book of Enoch hastily that way. I would SEARCH to check the source. IF it could be verified satisfyingly then I would say "We should consider this book as well." I'm not saying "on par with decided-upon Scripture", but definitely "don't ignore it--there could be...

    1. Lucky--or else what? 2. I wasn't the one wrongly claiming to quote Christ directly when I was interpreting that was you. 3. Stop changing the subject or acting like you're right or trying to vindicate yourself. 4. Where did the Law come from? The right hand of God. Moses mediated that Law...

is doing sexual things with a boyfriend/girlfriend sin...

    1. Yes, Christ knows perfectly well what that means--"God"/"Moses". When "Moses" gave Law, that came straight from "God". When anything was too difficult for him, he would go resort to God and ask God what the Law was. Every Law came from God none came from Moses. Moses was the mediator of the...

    1. You didn't merely "say what Jesus said" you interpreted what Jesus said. 2. The issue I raised wasn't about Christians and Law it was about your misrepresentation of Christ. 3. Yes, "Moses" was the Lawgiver. There is no inference that some Law came from Moses and some from God. It's called...

    Bible alone

    1. "Logical criteria"--I like that, since that's what I'm following when I say "Hey, these authoritative writings have writers citing material authoritatively, which they clearly lived by, and I want to do the same as they did!" 2. Why would Enoch have to present the Covenant of Law? He was...

is doing sexual things with a boyfriend/girlfriend sin...

They sure can--and they will see you for what you are. You did not quote Christ, you interpreted Christ. Furthermore, you cannot preach the Gospel. How can a man who refuses to admit such trivial errors preach the Gospel? Matthew 19 3Some Pharisees came to Jesus, testing Him and [c]asking, “Is...

    1. Again, you did not merely say what Christ said. 2. This is a discussion forum--people disagree all of the time. I'm not going to sit here silently while you spread misinformation.

is doing sexual things with a boyfriend/girlfriend sin...

Also, no, you didn't say what Christ said--you interpreted what Christ said. Where did Christ say "I am implying some Law didn't come from God"?
