What is the difference between the soul and the spirit?

NotTheRock asked: "Nobody remains lost forever?" IMO: o. Those who reject God go to hell when they die. o. They are resurrected after the millennial (1000-years) reign of Jesus. o. They are condemned, and obliterated. o This current universe is then obliterated. o. It is replaced by a new...

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

Enoch (Hebrews 11:5) and Elijah (2Kings 2:11) were both raised to heaven before they died. IMO they possibly are the two witnesses (Revelation 11:1-14), neither of whom had ever previously died: o. 2Kings 2:11-- Elijah went up in a whirlwind into heaven. o. Genesis 5:24 -- Enoch walked...

What is the difference between the soul and the spirit?

NotTheRock noted: <Ephesians 1:10 says that Jesus came to unite ALL things to himself.> IMO: o Matthew 22:14 says, "For many are called, *few* are chosen." o Revelation 20:15 says, "If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire...

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

IMO the two witnesses (Revelation 11:3-4) will come at a future time and serve for 42 months (where a month is 30 days and a year is twelve 30-day months). By this reckoning 42 months = 42x30 days = 1260 days. I would say the two witnesses are Enoch and Elijah, as another poster has suggested.

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

<Enoch and Elijah did die> The Bible says: o. By faith Enoch was translated, that he *might not see death." (Hebrews 11:5) o. ...and Elijah *went up to heaven* in a whirlwind" (2Kings 2:11). Yes, in general everyone dies, and the two witnesses will die at a time future to today (Revelation...

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

IMO: "Two witnesses" are Enoch and Elijah, neither of whom ever died.

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

IMO: In Revelation 11:2 "forty-two months" (Greek μηνας τεσσερακοντα δυο) is 42x30 = 1260 days, where a month is 30 days. The end times comprise 7 years, where a year is 360 days. The midpoint is (1/2) x 7 = 3.5 years. This is 3.5 years x 360 days per year = 1260 days.

    The Prophetic Feasts of Israel

The Light asked: <where> Revelation 19:11-21 (Lamb of God becomes Lion of Jehovah).

Both Pretribbers and Preterists are clearly wrong that great tribulation begins with the DOTL.

I would think the third woe is Satan's coming down to earth in Revelation 13:12.

The FOUR HORSEMEN of the Apocalypse

The Roman fortresses were all built the same way, having a rectangular shape. The wailing wall is what is left of the fortress Antonia. Some Jews mistake this wall as part of the temple; I visited there once and saw people praying at that wall. In fact the temple was a distance away, near the...

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

quiet thinker said: <temple of his body> IMO: o The body is a temple, in the sense that, just as the Jewish temple houses the Presence of God, so likewise the human body houses the Spirit of God (1Corinthians 6:19-20). o Jesus Indeed was buried on Friday, resurrected on Sunday, three...

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

IMO: The two witnesses (Revelation 11:3) are Enoch and Elijah, neither of whom ever died (Genesis 5:24, 2Kings 2:11). They will oversee the rebuilding of the Jewish temple, hence they are compared to Zerubbabel (governor) and Jeshua (high priest), who oversaw rebuilding of the Jewish temple in...

Daniel's 1260 vs. 1290 vs. 1335 vs 2300 Days Prophecies (Abomination of Desolation Was the Crucifixion)

IMO: o "seven" = seven years, where a year is 360 days (Dan 9:24,25) o "decree to rebuild" (Dan 9:26) was issued by King Cyrus (Ezra 1:2) o date of the decree was March 5, 444 B.C. o rebuilding was supervised by Nehemiah (Nehemiah 2:5) o "coming ruler" (Dan 9:26) is entry of Jesus into Jerusalem...

    Noahs flood NOT worldwide ???

Seeding Loving noted: <atheists are completely honest about their dislike of the Bible> IMO: "Atheism" stems from Greek αθεος (atheos) = "(there is) no God." The "god" of atheism is the universe and its natural forces. This in noted in the Bible: "...worshiped and served the...

When Jesus "took away" your sin, did He leave behind the source, the sin nature?

Jesus paid the penalty. A debt that is paid is no longer a debt.

What is the difference between the soul and the spirit?

IMO: Body, soul, spirit. o A plant has a body. o A dog has a body and a soul = "intelligence." o A person has a body, a soul, and a spirit = "communion with God." Unfortunately our spirits currently are not functioning.

    Noahs flood NOT worldwide ???

IMO: The flood did not destroy all the animals and all the flora and fauna. Rather it destroyed all the people except those on the ark. Look at a world map, the coasts of North America, South America, Australia match the corresponding coasts of Europe, suggesting a split. The land (Pangea) broke...
