    America

:) Whats wrong with using emoji's? It makes engaging in online discussions even better, and kind of fun. Never thought that using an emoji would ever be seen as "whining". Scripture states that there is nothing new under the sun, but this just has to be something new here.

Whatever happened to the simple Gospel message on salvation and heaven and hell?

Well, the fact is James never defines "religion" within the confines of a building, nor does he use the word "church". Keep in mind to, that there will be no church, or temple within New Jerusalem either, because God IS the temple.

.....Who is 'whining'? What is there to "whine" about? "Stranger"

Whatever happened to the simple Gospel message on salvation and heaven and hell?

But not a designated structure used as a temple or place of worship??

Whatever happened to the simple Gospel message on salvation and heaven and hell?

But does religion mean "church"? I don't recall James defining religion as specifically having to do with church service, but its really solely about his relationship with God and how he conducts himself with others. "Church"???

A blow by blow account of Revelation

I just wanted to give my two cents on Revelation and move on. I really wasn't expecting this thread to get this much attention.

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

I know plenty of atheists who claimed they were once believers. But then, the typical rebuttal is that they were never believers to start with, that same old tired argument. I don't know about those people, but I don't claim to know a persons heart at any time in their lives, so I have no...

    The Glory

If that's what you want to call it, sure, I guess. You can call it other things as well, like purification, or even sanitation for that matter. My understanding of it is a little more overarching than the typical definition. To me, the true "glorification" occurs when heaven and earth passes...

    The Glory

I'm not really sure about that, unless one were to define sanctification as glorification of the soul, then I personally can't really claim anything "glorious" about you in particular. Its supposed to be all about giving glory to God anyway.

Whatever happened to the simple Gospel message on salvation and heaven and hell?

:) Yes, its Creation, Reconciliation, Redemption.........NOT Creation, Reconciliation, Redemption.....and the lake of fire for everyone else. That hell fire, "serve me or go to hell" doctrine is a sure fire way to get a non-believer to not want to give you the light of day. It makes God look no...

    The Glory

Well, who says you have to actually die to receive it? What about the believers who are still walking the earth? Paul says the dead in Christ rise first, then the living. There is only one life, and that life will be changed "in the twinkling of an eye".

If We Protestants Truly Hated Catholics...

.....You don't even realize you just debunked yourself with the very verses you cited. The world is already worshiping the beast long before the mark even comes into the picture. The mark doesn't even come into the picture until verse 16, among all that worshiping they've been doing...

If We Protestants Truly Hated Catholics...

I believe most if not all false beliefs of what the mark of the beast is supposed to be basically stems from only one belief; that it has to do with worshiping the beast or simply pledging allegiance to him, when the narrative supports no such thing. From this one belief, its easy to make claims...

    The Glory

According to the narrative given by John in Revelation, glorification will occur in THIS life. There is no such thing as an after life as far I'm concerned, there is only the one life you have now that gets transformed into immortality.

Guns, Guns, Killing, and more Guns

Sorry, I don't have the stomach to consume ten pages of anti-gun gibberish. "10 hail marys"............... The idea the anti-gunners wish us to accept is that God clearly was not against the use of weaponry for warfare and self-defense in old testament days, but he suddenly...

    Love your enemies

What constitutes a "personal enemy"? Would Satan fit the description of a personal enemy?

Guns, Guns, Killing, and more Guns

......m'kay.......whatever. Just wondering, does your "Godly protection" apply to nations as well? Do nations have a right to defend themselves at all as you see it?

Guns, Guns, Killing, and more Guns

Feeling safe is not the same as actually being safe. Is there a unit of measurement to figure this out in scripture? I can't really say for sure. So are you insinuating that armed Christians have not given their life to Jesus? Is there a scripture explicitly stating this to be the case?? All...
