They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

I do not believe our physical bodies, including flesh are inherently evil; that is a bit too gnostic. I do believe it is temporary as the entire physical creation is and was meant to be.

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

If you are saying that the Greek words anistemi and egeiro are used interchangeably, I do not agree. It is not Jesus' "egeiro" that makes him the first born from the dead (Col 1:18); rather it is His "anistemi". I think that occurred not, when He rose from the grave, but rather when He ascended...

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

You are certainly not alone in any of that thinking. I have books that echo those same thoughts. All of that sounds kind of nice, but I think it is wrong. If what you say is to be our final existence, then God could have just as easily produced that at the outset. I believe that what God...

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

I can agree with some of that, but I see some weakness in it as well. In John 5:24-25 Jesus spoke of the dead hearing Jesus and the living. There Jesus is describing regeneration. I think that is more than just a figurative reference. I think dead in trespasses and sins is in some sense a...

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

That is a very interesting study. I will spend some time with it. However, I find it interesting that, so far as I can determine, whenever the subject is the resurrection at the end of the age when Christ returns, the Greek word is ἀνάστασις [anastasis}. When the subject is the bringing...

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

I have never understood the penchant of those proposing a material or corporal body upon resurrection. The material, physical body in this world is specifically tailored to the needs of this physical world. Is eternal life in heaven going to be in any way similar to this physical existence...

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

There is no indication that is true. The bible is replete with references to tangible body parts of God; however, most understand that to be symbolic or allegorical.

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

What do you think the phrase "dead in the trespasses and sins" as in Ephesians 2:1 means?

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

That may be true; however, you still have no idea what a spiritual body actually is. There certainly is no indication that a spiritual body is in any sense material or corporal.

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

If you mean to say that mankind is spiritually dead from birth, then you are wrong. God forms the spirit in each of us. He doesn't give us a spirit dead at birth. He gives us a spirit alive and well at birth, Just like Adam and Eve, the spirit of a man dies when he sins. When we are reborn...

The false doctrine of the immortality of the soul.

What it seems that most of you are ignoring is that there is an intermediate state between death and the resurrection. Perhaps the reason that too many reject it, or at least refuse to accept it, is that the RCC, with its past teaching on purgatory, screwed up the idea of an intermediate state...

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

And in none of that were you able to describe what spiritual body is. So I stand by what I said earlier; you don't know what a spiritual body is and neither did the apostles.

    One last question!

That is because you don't know what any of that means. That whole "justification" "sanctification" thing... does make sense. And it isn't really so hard.

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

No, I do not have a clue about what a spiritual body is. But clearly it is not a natural, physical body.

    One last question!

What, exactly, do you think the word of God is?

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

You haven't a clue about what a spiritual body is. And neither does anyone else, not even Jesus' apostles. 1Jn 3:2 Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. Co...

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

1Co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

    One last question!

I have listened to too many tell me that the Holy Spirit told them this or that, and so many of them contradicted each other and God's word. Any time I hear anyone saying that God, or the Holy Spirit or Jesus told them such and such, I know immediately to dismiss it.

    One last question!

I stand corrected by Romans 8:16.
