The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

Faith is not measured out by God. Faith is not given by anyone, not even God. It is achieved, developed, acquired through studying God's written revelation.

How Jesus has ALREADY Reconciled Us and the World unto God.

I know what it means. Still the phrase, sin nature, doesn't show up in the Bible. And we are never, in this world, straightened out. We are forgiven and given the indwelling Holy Spirit to help us cope with that tendency, but it is never taken away.

How Jesus has ALREADY Reconciled Us and the World unto God.

Please give me the Biblical reference that says that sinful flesh is unclean. We were created with sinful flesh. Are you suggesting that God created us as unclean? To you who seem to like to declare others to be blasphemous, I think accusing God of creating us as unclean could well be...

You think this entire forum is "we"? That is either stupid, narcissistic, egocentric, or all three.

How Jesus has ALREADY Reconciled Us and the World unto God.

God put the tree of life in the Garden to provide a food that would keep them from dying. Gen 3:22 Then the LORD God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat, and live forever--" Gen...

How Jesus has ALREADY Reconciled Us and the World unto God.

The phrase "sin nature" does not even appear in the Bible. And besides, physical death is not due to sin. Physical death is an integral part of the creation. Nothing in the physical creation is either immortal or eternal.

Yes, indeed, I most likely do have much to learn yet. But you are clearly not the one to teach me.

Does the new man not sin at all any more?

You would do well to rethink that. What you know about God is only what you can read in the Bible, and the NT was written in Greek.

How Jesus has ALREADY Reconciled Us and the World unto God.

I am certainly pleased that you are not going to do that. And it is pretty obvious from just about everything you have written here concerning being born again that you are monumentally confused about it.

How Jesus has ALREADY Reconciled Us and the World unto God.

No, it is not. Clearly you are confused. Being born again does do away with the sin nature., whatever you think the sin nature might be. The phrase, "sin nature" does not even appear in the Bible. The term "sinful nature" does appear, but only in the NIV. It translates the Greek word for...

The NIV does not given the best translation/interpretation to the Greek word στρέφω [strephō]. The better one is convert, turn back, turn around, turn again.

Well that doesn't surprise me in the least. And I certainly would not agree with your above commentary. While there may be some truth to what you wrote there, there is nothing in the passage I posted that comes even close to what you wrote. Jesus is stating the spiritual condition of the...

I just said what I think that verse is saying in Reply #245.

How Jesus has ALREADY Reconciled Us and the World unto God.

Sorry, but you are wrong. There is nothing in the Bible that says or even suggest that a sin nature is unclean. In fact if Adam and Eve did not have a sin nature, they would have not sinned.

How Jesus has ALREADY Reconciled Us and the World unto God.

Mat 18:1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and said, "Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" Mat 18:2 And He called a child to Himself and set him before them, Mat 18:3 and said, "Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the...
