    One last question!

The phrase, "the heart of God" does not appear in most English versions. It does appear in the KJV, but improperly so. You have stated something similar, but you haven't posted any scripture that says that. The Bible doesn't ever speak of God testifying to anything. I don't think you even...

    Sensitivity & hurt feelings

    One last question!

I think those verses support what I just said and stand in opposition to what you believe. There is nothing there that speaks to you being taught directly by God or the Holy Spirit apart from the written Word.

    One last question!

Where in the Bible to you read anything about the heart of God. And where in the Bible to you read anything about the Holy Spirit testifying with our spirit about anything. Seriously, you spout so much stuff that you just make up with no biblical authority whatever. That is not right. Just...

    One last question!

He has. It is called the Bible.

    One last question!

That is too much Pentecostalism that can be ever gleaned from God's word.

The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

That is simply not true. Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, Rom 1:19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. Rom 1:20...

    One last question!

I think THEN is when he gets to heaven. For now though, as he says in the next verse, it is faith, hope and love that abide.

    One last question!

I didn't say that. But what was done to and with the apostles and prophets through the Holy Spirit was much more than what is given every Christian through the indwelling Holy Spirit. The apostles and prophets were given supernatural signs, wonders, miracles and errorless teaching. You would...

    One last question!

I think you don't have a good understanding of what it means that the apostles and prophets were divinely inspired. In their inspired writings there were no mistakes. We on the other hand are not given that ability.

The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

Faith in God is believing in God. It is mental assent plus trusting in God. God provides all the data and information in His written revelation that anyone needs to believe in Him. There is no need for any imparting. If you are too lazy to make use of what God has provided, then you likely...

The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

Romans 10:17 is NOT a statement of faith imparted. And of course in Matthew 14, Peter again began to sink and it was Jesus who took him by that hand and saved him. So if anything Peter went from some faith to none or at least to little faith. Doesn't seem like any imparting there.

    One last question!

John 14:26 was Jesus speaking directly to His disciples, not you. It is a statement that they would be divinely inspired. You are not them.

How Jesus has ALREADY Reconciled Us and the World unto God.

You posted a bunch of verses from the OT talking about things being unclean. That followed from my objection to brightframe's assertion of man's flesh being unclean.

That's good, because I am not going back and for with your blasphemy either.

How Jesus has ALREADY Reconciled Us and the World unto God.

Yes, so what is your point? Nothing there says anything about the flesh being unclean.

The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

For the Christian, God, by giving the indwelling Holy Spirit helps in all manner of ways. But none of those ways is ever said in scripture to be His giving faith at any lever. And by the way, that is anothe of those poorly translated/interpreted verses by the KJV. (ESV) Mar 9:23 And Jesus...

The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

And just where in Scripture did you get that bit of silliness. Book, chapter and verse(s) please.

How Jesus has ALREADY Reconciled Us and the World unto God.

Flesh in the NT is translated/interpreted from the Greek word "sarx". From Strong's Greek dictionary we have G4561 σάρξ sarx sarx Probably from the base of G4563; flesh (as stripped of the skin), that is, (strictly) the meat of an animal (as food), or (by extension) the body (as opposed to...

I know what unclean means. None of those verses says that man's flesh is unclean. They do present ways in which a man can become unclean. But they also point out how the man can become clean; and in doing so, the flesh is not changed in any way.
