If you've had a lot going on in your body that needs healing, your body is probably busy cleaning things up, and getting to a stable place (out of survival mode), healing, building muscle, etc, before it will let go of too much weight.

I wouldn't trust the mental health system. It is the place of the Church to minister. I was diagnosed with PTSD (years ago). They tried to get me on meds ...I went with Jesus. He's the Great Physician. The Church is like a triage center and we are His nursing staff. That's how it should be.
