How do you respond to "Christians are hypocrites"?

What scripture? Sorry, but that is what I am going to say. Jesus said, you must be born again. The only way to be born again is through hearing accurate, Holy Ghost anointed, preaching. Those who are not born again are not part of the true church, although they may set foot in the building.

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

Why is there evil in the world; and why does God allow wars? My answer is that God has given us a free will either to love and obey Him or else to hate and disobey Him and do what will result in certain evils that we see in the world today. If we do not have a free will, then what is the...

Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

You meet the condition that the Lord prescribes as the way that we receive the gift of salvation; and then the Lord takes you the rest of the way. Otherwise, those who have met those conditions cannot have the assurance of salvation that the Lord wants for them; because there is always the...

How do you respond to "Christians are hypocrites"?

Repentance is not the same things as works. Good works are the result of repentance.

How do you respond to "Christians are hypocrites"?

This question is very much like when the Sadducees presented to Jesus the scenario of the seven men who had married the same wife. You know not the scriptures neither the power of God. Someone who takes pleasure in those who practice such things as abortion and gay marriage is not a Christian...

A Moral Framework for Same Sex Unions?

Jesus is certainly capable of conquering any thing of satan. Never is a strong word...are you sure you want to abide by it? No.

A Moral Framework for Same Sex Unions?

If any homosexual becomes a part of the true church, they will not be practicing anymore. No one is telling homosexuals not to come where we meet to worship the Lord; but they need to be prepared to hear preaching against their sin when it comes up in the word of the Lord. And they need to...

A Moral Framework for Same Sex Unions?

Absolutely not. King David (before he became king) had a strong friendship with Jonathan King Saul's son. Strong same sex friendships where there is no sexual contact are God's design for friendship. Otherwise the only valid close friendship a person might have would be with their spouse of...

A Moral Framework for Same Sex Unions?

My response to page 1 of this thread: The shed blood of Christ, when it is truly applied, has a sanctifying effect Heb 13:12, Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. Heb 10:29, Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he...

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

In order for a person to come to Jesus, he must be given to Him by the Father. This would indicate that if someone does not come to Jesus, it is because he was not given to Him. Jde 1:3, Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to...

Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

I don't think so... A person may decide to receive Christ out of entirely selfish motives...because they do not want to go to hell, for example. If for other reasons a person comes to Christ (because they experience God's love coming from Christians, or because they become convinced...

How to be shut out of the kingdom of heaven/God

That shuts me out... Thankfully I know that my God is a God of grace and mercy and that the law, which was 430 years after the promise, cannot make the promise of none effect (Galatians 3:17).

How do you respond to "Christians are hypocrites"?

First of all, repenting is not a work...it is a change of attitude. Secondly, have you never read the scripture that says that God calls all men everywhere to repent? Or the scripture where Jesus said, not once but twice, Except ye repent, you will all likewise perish? Your theology might...

Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

Even a person who is dead in their trespasses and sins can be awakened to a point (through the Father drawing them) where they can make a decision either to receive or reject Christ as Lord and Saviour. Even the best of analogies have the tendency to break down at a certain point. God will not...

@Dave L, Just think about what I said: for I feel that my argument is more compelling than yours.

Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

Certainly not against their will! For in salvation, a person becomes submitted/surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. It is not the God that I serve who would force a person to submit/surrender to His will for their lives unless they did this willingly. Where the Spirit of the Lord is...

Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

We are introduced to faith in Jesus Christ through the plea for us to surrender to His Lordship in our lives. He will not "control" us unless we give Him the permission to do so. In all reality it is not "control" but a transformation of our nature and character so that we become inclined...

Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

That is not what 1 John 1:8 says or teaches...otherwise it is in contradiction to 1 John 3:5-9. 1 John 1:8 tells us that in me, that is, in my flesh, there dwells no good thing (Romans 7:18)...and what that means is that the element of sin dwells within me...however if it is crucified and made...
