IMO: The Anti-Christ is a charismatic Middle-Eastern person who will arise, broker a peace agreement with Israel's foes, and will oversee the rebuilding of the Jewish temple. Then he will take his seat in the temple, showing himself to be God (2Thessalonians 2:4).

Jeremiah 30:3 is Hebrew ארץ = land. They indeed miraculously returned to the *land* that God *gave* them. There was no concept of planet earth in Biblical times.
