I guess maybe saying someone is blinded is not necessarily condemnation. Plus you did graciously advance the possibility that I'm not. I hope you can accept that as an "untwisting" of your words. Besides, you're the only one who really knows what you think.

Absolutely amazing that you of all people would say that. Since it's my pattern, you shouldn't have any problem coming up with at least one concrete example.

So John 1:1 doesn't say, "In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God." Instead it says, "In the beginning was Jesus, and Jesus was with God, and Jesus was God." Are you sure about that? Why? Perhaps John was talking about the new creation, the church Jesus...

Google "heavenly host" or "divine council." You obviously don't accept anything I say. I always took "we" to mean two or more. In this case the "we" is God, the Father, the one true God, and Jesus, His only begotten son. Would you be willing to accept that the spirit of truth is the spirit of...

John 1:1 - Jesus is the Father or he's not the one true God?

You have no idea wrong you are about my sincerity, so just stop saying that. Very unseeming of you! Can't take a joke I guess. I'll keep that in mind and be dead pan serious from now on. If you care to look at an interlinear, your will see that all things came "from" (Greek ek) God "through"...

You don't condemn. Hmm... I think you were and might still be, but maybe not ~ blinded... and certainly deceived... You do condemn.

I wonder why Joseph and Mary named him Jesus. Maybe they didn't read Isaiah?

Well, you are right about that. I would never think I'm qualified to rewrite the Bible. I didn't write the originals nor have I done an English translation. I just read them. There is not one single thing I've said here that is unique. The information is out there for anybody who want to see if...

That would be true if the "logos" were Jesus, but it isn't. Genesis says God made all things. At that time Jesus was an idea in God's mind. John says the logos became Jesus. What was it before it became Jesus? Col 1:16 must be understood in light of context. Verse 15 says Jesus is the...

    A Form of godliness

The English translation, the capitalization of "word" and all the "he"s and "him"s merely show the translators trinitarian bias when they translated from the Greek. Did I show you Strong's definition of "logos?" I think I did, but if not let me know and I'll go over it again. In any case, it's...

John 1:1 - Jesus is the Father or he's not the one true God?

I find it interesting that trinitarians are quick to tell unitarians they are not saved. I don't recall it going the other way. Joshua, the son of Nun, was a savior. His name even means, "Yahweh Saves," the same meaning as "Jesus." Is Joshua, the son of Nun, therefore your savior?

John 1:1 - Jesus is the Father or he's not the one true God?

Nobody has directly addressed John 17:30 nor 1 Cor 8:6. All I see in return are other verses that supposedly say Jesus is God but actually say no such thing. I've answered to all of them, but folks just like tradition better than truth. Well, all I did was quote a couple of verses that God...

    A Form of godliness

No. I just gave the context to verses 8 & 9. What's wrong with that? We should always consider context. No side slipping. Yes, John does say we must be born again of God's spirit to enter the Kingdom. What it doesn't say is that Jesus is God. Since you seem to know better than I about what's...

The logos is not a person. If you did one ounce of your own research you'd see that. Seriously, about one ounce is all it would take. Perhaps the "he" and "him" refer to God?

John 1:1 - Jesus is the Father or he's not the one true God?

No JW. I just believe Jesus when he said the only God was his Father (John 17:3). Paul said the same thing in 1 Cor 8:6. Neither Jesus nor Paul have anything to do with JW. Maybe figure out what Jude 1:25 was actually saying. If it said God was the only savior, then there would be a huge...

John 1:1 - Jesus is the Father or he's not the one true God?

So your father put his seed into your mother's egg and your father, not you, was born? That would make your father his father and you nonexistent. I mean if God wasn't born until Mary bore Him, whose seed was it that impregnated Mary? God bore Himself before He was born? See how screwy things...

John 1:1 - Jesus is the Father or he's not the one true God?

The only one I could give you is found in Matthew chapter 1. Jesus actually had two fathers; Joseph and God. Well, you, as a born again believer, actually have two fathers also; Mr. GEN2REV Sr. and God. In any case you are not your father and Jesus is not his father either. We both have...

John 1:1 - Jesus is the Father or he's not the one true God?

Odd you'd bring up believing in the clear meaning of scripture while denying the simple words Jesus spoke to God; "...that they might know thee the only true God,"

John 1:1 - Jesus is the Father or he's not the one true God?

So easy. But they seem to have problems with actual scholarship. They are much more comfortable with tradition.

John 1:1 - Jesus is the Father or he's not the one true God?

No need tear out all of John 1. Whatever John 1 says it must conform to John 20:30-31. There we are told that John wrote so that we might believe that Jesus is the son of God that Jesus is the anointed one, the Christ. So even John 1:1 & 1:14 must conform to that end. John had no interest in...
