The Wrath of God - How is it love?

The biggest tragedy in the Universe is that many for whom Jesus died, resurrected and ascended, turn their back on the greatest gift given to bumbling, fumbling, rebellious men and women. God's GIFT is not ratified because men accept it. It is ratified by Jesus death, resurrection and ascension...

The Wrath of God - How is it love?

Romans 5:15-19....five verses which tell us the same thing five times....just so we don't miss it. ALL in Adam and ALL in Christ. Subsequently the Good News which all who believe are privileged to share. If one does not believe this the only thing left is to give advice, ie to tell people what...

The Wrath of God - How is it love?

Romans 8 is a continuation of Romans 7. The word 'therefore' is indicative of this. Who is it that is in Christ Jesus? ...all who are in Adam...as explained in Romans 5:12-19 My question; who was it that slew the lambs taken to the temple/ sanctuary by the individuals who presented the lambs...

The Wrath of God - How is it love?

Of course you have your hoops. How many are in the collection now? Jesus loves me this I know for the bible tells me so. I guess my immaturity which gives hope and peace refuses the piling up hoop jumping exercises!

The Wrath of God - How is it love?

Let's hope you are qualified to be not be fried by the flaming fire of vengeance.....that flaming fire of Love which consumes hatred and that those who call for the rocks and the mountains to fall on them cannot bear to face.

The Wrath of God - How is it love?

Jesus was aligned by those who professed to know as a false teacher also. Their advocacy affecting a whole nation.....and today, look at what their rejection of the one whom they deemed a false teacher inspires their leaders to pursue.

The Wrath of God - How is it love?

There is a misconception regarding God's character. It is a misconception touted by the devil in the beginning. It started with, 'did God really say....?' They took the bait (A&E) and ever since, we have assumed God is angry and needs placating.....dismissing that he went looking for them...

The Wrath of God - How is it love?

So I conclude from your answer, because God needs blood before he can forgive he's prepared and does have Jesus murdered....all in the name of love for humanity? If this is your view of the character of God, it is not a God I would trust let alone be drawn to. It is more a description of a Devil...

The Wrath of God - How is it love?

Delusion is not recognised by the deluded and mistaken allegiance a pitiful sight. Not even Jesus was able to break the spell holding those who relish their rightness while blaming their brothers.

    What would you do?

I would visit Alcoholics Anonymous. They have been a great help in teaching me about things not understood both intellectually and emotionally Go there, stick around and listen up big. If you are willing the right track will unfold through means and with people you never expected.

The way we live is wrong

I think we have alienated God. What I mean is, God has not alienated us yet we are convinced he has alienated us and needs appeasing. His message to us in the person of Jesus is that God is very fond of us. He gives us a never ending stream of gifts. The anxieties men experience are because of...

We've Grown More Outside of Church

From what I can tell, Jesus had a love which flowed in and out of him like breathing, ie he absorbed his Father's love and reflected it to us. He even went further than laying down his life for his friends. Paul tells us that while we were enemies he laid down his life for us. Romans 5:8, 10. If...

We've Grown More Outside of Church

I wonder what it was on the top of the 'whatever' list that Jesus commanded us to do? What I mean by that is, not just give a verbal ascent to......like the Son who promised to do his father's will but never went out to do it. Matthew 21:28-32 ...and was there a top of the list?

The Wrath of God - How is it love?

Yes, I've considered it. The account of Abraham is by Moses.....so, sometime down the track. Abraham lived in Mesopotamia where child sacrifice was a done thing. What ever Moses records as Abraham hearing re sacrificing Isaac, I question. I am not persuaded that whatever Abraham heard was...
