Was Mary Magdalene the sister of Lazarus?

Mary the sister of Lazarus lived in Bethany. It was Mary from Magdala who was subsequently named 'Mary Magdalene'......Magdalene being a derivative of Magdala. We can deduct from this that she was not Lazarus's sister.

    24 elders in Heaven

You make matters more complicated for yourself than necessary. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow....Jesus revealed this.

    24 elders in Heaven

Why shouldn't we take this scripture .... 1 Corinthians 15:50-51 'Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I show you a mystery: We shall not all sleep; but we shall all be changed' .....as applying...

    Unequally Yoked

hmmmm, any parallel that is imagined can be drawn....and evade/ miss the real intent.....as is done with other scriptures!

Was Mary Magdalene the sister of Lazarus?

Mary, it seems was a commonly used name for the girls. There was Mary of Magdala, Mary of Bethany, Mary the mother of Joses, Mary the mother of Jesus, etc etc. Which of these four do we suppose was the sister of Lazarus?

    Unequally Yoked

At breakfast I noticed one egg was bigger than the other. There was also colour variation and blow me down, content. I think I need to speak to the chickens about their yokes.....no more unequally joking....I mean, yoking!

    Deconstruction Lite - (light?)

Deconstruction is a good principle in the face of and because of much that is learned/ programmed misses the mark. The multiple combinations of what has integrity and what doesn't is in our faces all through our lives. That being said, the deconstruction process is also a precarious business. It...

    Solomon and Sheba: Harmless fiction?

It happens. Falsification of history, falsification of God, of Jesus, of anything you can think of. Falsification are the building blocks of this World. Why be surprised?

Receiving Jesus. - What does it mean?

We bumble through accompanied by limited view, some unconsciously, some deliberately.

...and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament...

Law is only required when there a violation of love/ trust. It is a 'primitive' method to keep 'children' from chaos. Law is better than chaos but love is better than law. Do angels commit adultery? Do angels dishonour their parents? Do angels forget the Sabbath? Do angels take God's name in...

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

The tragedy is you don't understand the implications of your own words. You do not realise that the evidence comes from your own pen!

...and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament...

Ignorance and cock-sureness insisted on will surely bite you in the bum! You mightn't see it now but that's how the principle works.

The Two Witnesses Came and Went Thousands of Years Ago

All of us will at some stage face or will face temptations tailored to our reality at different times and circumstances. If one is aligned with error, the ability to even recognise the temptation let alone resist it will be at a distinct disadvantage. Jesus' story of the sheep and the goats...
