    Difficulty Reconciling

But, then, howcome I didn't experience God's love and peace (though He always whispers "peace" to me, among other things) until I decided to focus on loving God rather than just "believing"?

Isaiah 30:21You will hear a voice behind you saying, 'This is the way; walk in it'" I am here trying to discuss the Scriptures so I don't get deceived. lol

    1. They didn't confess--that is the issue. 2. The text says they believed. Aren't you adding to and removing from the text when you deny they believed?

    Difficulty Reconciling

    1. This does not even come close to answering the OP. 2. Nevertheless, I am interested in anything that will get me God's love and peace... but why did God's love and peace go away? Doesn't Jesus say "He has never left Me because I always do what pleases Him"? I must have sinned.

    Difficulty Reconciling

Yeah, that's basically how I think about it, but, before, when I would do everything I believed the Holy Spirit would tell me to do, afterward, one time, when I went to pray, God told me I was trying to save myself. I said, "Yeah, what's wrong with that? I have to do works to save myself." He...

    What is "interfaith"?

Why inquire as to what I refer when I've already supplied you with what I refer to in my initial post?

    Difficulty Reconciling

I could just as easily have asserted, "There's no contradiction," but, then, I wouldn't have asked, in the "Bible Study" section of this website, how others have reconciled these things.

    Difficulty Reconciling

I was wrangling with trying to understand these things for so long, then, yesterday, I had a thought that I should love God (even though it is "a work of the Law", in a sense), and, then, I felt God's love, and a supernatural peace--and it made sense that we would do, easily, what this "love"...

    Difficulty Reconciling

Yes, I'm aware of your belief that is based on a single line of Scripture; still, my question hasn't been answered : how do you reconcile that one line of Scripture with all the rest of the things written in John? For instance, did the leaders who believed, but loved sin, and, therefore...

    Difficulty Reconciling

I'm not saying "I have found contradictions", I'm asking, "How do you all reconcile these things?"

    Difficulty Reconciling

LOL That assumes we fully understand Paul. Yes, lambs love Truth... but what about when "Truth" is uncertain? Yes, but if unbelief is iniquity, and it is not clear what it is we are to believe, how can we rejoice in truth, and depart from iniquity?

    Difficulty Reconciling

I have difficulty reconciling some verses in John. How do you all reconcile the following verses? 1. On one hand, it seems like all we need to do to have eternal life is to believe in Jesus. John 3:16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not...

Understanding what Sheol, Hell, Hades mean.

Funny, I was just talking with ChatGPT about this very issue. I think some (few) have eternal punishment, because they are guilty of an infinitely offensive sin (blaspheming the Spirit) that they can never repay. Mt 18 "you will not get out of there until you have paid the uttermost farthing"...

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

I don't know why they don't allow discussions on the issue, but they have to have their reasons. Sorry about that. God bless you! "Grace and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!"

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

When the topic is discussed, people dig in to the text. I was edified by the discussion.

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

It's an interesting question. It's a good edifying discussion, in my experience.
  18. GracePeace

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

If it's from the Lord, as it was with Paul, yes, we accept it. The two are not mutually exclusive : Paul PRAYED to Christ, and Christ said "No", so accepting the darkness sent by Christ is one and the same as accepting God's Word. Christ is more concerned with our spiritual deliverance from...

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

Thanks. The Bible explains  why the Lord gave him a thorn in the flesh, but doesn’t explain exactly what it was; that is why the thread asks what it was.

    THE TRANSGENDERISM OF CHRISTIANITY

Agree. 2 John 1 7For many deceivers have gone out into the world, refusing to confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. 8Watch yourselves, so that you do not lose what we have worked for,a but that you may be fully rewarded. 9Anyone...
