    John 3.16 says God gave His only begotten Son: He was the Son already when He was given; he did not become the Son. Hebrews 1 says: 'Unto the Son He saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever'.

    @shortangel Acts 2.42 simplicity in local church practices is really good; sometimes in small churches personalities - which are really not to do with vital doctrine and practice - can dominate at times.

    Hi @shortangel You clicked you 'liked' the recent comment about the ink shows; so did you ever visit a parlor to see the portfolio tattoo artwork, without obligation? A lot of designs are faith based.

    @shortangel It's interesting in Acts 2.41 that those who gladly received his word were baptized: they were baptized because they believed in the Lord Jesus; they didn't supposedly get baptized in order to become believers.

    There is an idiom there, 'everlasting Father' in Hebrew is 'father of eternity'. In other words, the Son is Lord of eternity; consistent with how the Son is revealed in John 1 and Hebrews 1.
