For the most part, the "perception" of truth is in the self-centered, esoteric eye of the beholder.

That is a tactic that both sides use constantly. It is called "a Scarecrow." People will not look at anything real around them, as long as they are distracted by "more urgent" measures, atm. This is why we experience a new "crises" every few days. (The media refers to them as "news cycles.")
