Regarding the Holy Spirit and His gifts I believe...

He was trying to be cute by pointing out a typo.

Does the Bible Version or Translation Really Matter?

The GWT is my favorite, but I am really enjoying the vivid reality of TPT.

    This will twist....

The " liberty" of which I spoke is that in the Bible, Moses RAN from the snake. In the video, he sat there, staring face-to-face with it.

WHERE ARE ALL THE PROTESTANT PEDOPHILES?

Well, a more accurate comment might have been that "far more Child Molesters exist in our own neighborhoods than we may ever suspect".... and many times that propensity toward the crime of molestation doesn't manifest until the proper situation and circumstances present themselves. Why...

I see the word, "regarding." I can recognize 'typos', (that we all make), and read right on past them.

    I thought this was interesting...

Thank you, Al, The thing that tickles me about this little irritation called *Stranger*, is that whether I had said the quotes came from either "Source A" or from "Source B", it wouldn't have told him anything at all about whether or not those were accurate quotes..... and he didn't really care...

To me, it kind of depends upon who it is doing the questioning. Some will (always), and some won't (they are the ones who truly matter.)

WHERE ARE ALL THE PROTESTANT PEDOPHILES?

I think Jesus summed that up pretty well when He said that we were still going to have to remain in the world for now, but that we didn't have to be a part of it. So it comes as no surprise to us.

And you're only getting one answer.

    This will twist....

….... some of y'all's undies in a knot, but I thought it was cool. (No, I know it isn't accurate to scripture with the snake, so save yourself some typing...….. many of the "hymns" we sing take a few liberties, too.)

Regarding the Holy Spirit and His gifts I believe...

Long story, short.... I got put on the spot at a healing seminar for asking a question. Called up front to have seven people come forward with the ailment I asked about. 5 totally healed, one took two times praying for him, and one lady was just there to put on a show by falling down. Not bad...

Here's where the Ryrie quote about the beasts of Revelation comes from. Charles C. Ryrie, The Living End: Enlightening and Astonishing Disclosures about the Coming Last Days of Earth (Old Tappan, NJ: Fleming H. Revell, 1976), 37. Would you also like a warm bottle of milk and some Pablum with that?

Believe me, I fully understand the loss you still feel. Those places seldom come around twice in a lifetime.

In your rush to recreate and reword my OP, you are trying to defend something I'm not even concerned about. I said I found that blog article interesting because of, for one thing, the way that Ryrie reverses courses on his avowed Literalism, and starts seeing symbols all of a sudden when the...

    I thought this was interesting...

Took about two minutes to find this quote: "If God be the originator of language and if the chief purpose of originating it was to convey His message to humanity, then it must follow that He, being all-wise and all-loving, originated sufficient language to convey all that was in His heart to...

    I thought this was interesting...

Well, I happen to have Chilton's book, so I know his quote is accurate. And for months, I used to talk with a minister at the church we were going to who worshiped the ground Ryrie walked on, so I also know the stance on pure literalism was one of Ryrie's biggest things in interpreting the...

That came from a blog I was reading, and the two people quoted are named. Do you doubt they said those things? I don't know how to help you with that.

We had the same experience. It wasn't the denomination, but the specific, individual congregation.... and the only other churches of the same denomination are over 50 miles away.

I think I clearly named the two people of interest in the topic discussed.
