    Interpreting Romans 6:23 In Context

Not so. Just as our sinful state is not permanent but our freedom dictated by entrance into grace...so likewise is the exodus of the sinless state also not permanent because of the possibility of frustrating grace. We can go in and come out again. Otherwise freedom is curtailed and we are...

Penal Substitution Theory and the presupposed (eisegesis) definition of מוּסָר in Isaiah 53:5

Let's try some reasoning and common sense....since spiritual understanding is lacking. ;) Scenario 1: Jesus died ONLY for believers. If that was so it would be written that way...and the reasoning would be that whoever believes in Jesus...well then Jesus retroactively died for THAT person. So...

Penal Substitution Theory and the presupposed (eisegesis) definition of מוּסָר in Isaiah 53:5

And you are engaging in spurious reasoning. :) For this scheme to be true would mean that Jesus died only for believers. But the opposite is true. Jesus died for the sins of the whole world. As in...for God so loved the world...not just the church. ALL men were seen as unbelievers at Jesus'...

Penal Substitution Theory and the presupposed (eisegesis) definition of מוּסָר in Isaiah 53:5

The whole premise of Penal Substitution is false. If the wrath of God was satisfied on the cross of Christ....for ALL men...as the bible says.....then why is there still a great day of wrath coming? Isaiah 13:13 Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, And the earth will be shaken from its...

    מוּסָר‎ in Deuteronomy 11:2-3

:) We need prophets in the church....they who are called of God and stand apart from what people want to hear...and only speak from the heart of God. Who wants to see what God is doing? It takes GREAT patience to see that. Imagine watching a flower grow....it takes time...but the results are...

    מוּסָר‎ in Deuteronomy 11:2-3

Isaiah 53:5 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. The chastisement (mousar) of our peace...our understanding of peace...the peace of this world. It was said of Jesus that...

    מוּסָר‎ in Deuteronomy 11:2-3

In the synagogue meetings at the time of Jesus there was a time set aside for a "davar mousar"...a word of exhortation. That is when men like Paul would stand up and preach the gospel. Of course today...there is no such input permitted. ;) But neither is there in the institutional churches...

Y do U believe what U believe, and do U have good reasons 4 those beliefs? - let's find out.

You live in your mind and are looking for mind stimulations. But that is not the Spirit...it is a human soul looking for satisfaction...which you won't find.

Y do U believe what U believe, and do U have good reasons 4 those beliefs? - let's find out.

The Spirit brings you to God in an inner peace, love and joy. Holiness is both in a fear and a peace. The devil seeks to confirm you away from God in yourself.

    Word Study

People say they are in Christ and still sin. Are you saying that you agree that in Christ is no sin and that they who are in Christ cannot sin? Of course not... ;) It is too biblical to be accepted. Too much based on God rather than human capacity. People tend to put their faith in human...

    Word Study

There is a lot that is true in this post except for this qualified statement and the common error of saying that we sin by/in the righteousness of Jesus Christ ...which is a grave error. Jesus doesn't sin...because He is not a minister of sin. God's righteousness is NOT as filthy rags...but ours...

Y do U believe what U believe, and do U have good reasons 4 those beliefs? - let's find out.

Does a person have to believe in gravity in order to fall by it's power? Does that person need to know the word for gravity...as in getting the nomenclature right in order to fall correctly? It is a question of discerning the spiritual from the religious...which in our day few seem able to do.

Y do U believe what U believe, and do U have good reasons 4 those beliefs? - let's find out.

How are you not confusing faith...the spark of the divine....with a human take on things we call "beliefs"? Even religious beliefs...that are akin to superstitions. No amount of beliefs can do anything but slant our preferences in the religious dogmatic supermarket of possibilities. And we are...

Y do U believe what U believe, and do U have good reasons 4 those beliefs? - let's find out.

This thread is about beliefs ABOUT things which is superficial in nature...even if those beliefs are correct, they do nothing in the way of pleasing God neither do they give us the power to do those things which please God. They are in the realm of the human intellect. So are we just trying to...

The Biblical Doctrine of Penal Substitution

Jesus bore our sins meaning He took everything we had in the way of evil upon Himself. And when we tired of hurting Him we are healed by His stripes (that we gave Him) of our disobedience because Jesus was innocent AND He was our Creator. We say enough! So our sins are both revealed and...

    What is The Soul?

We are a living soul...and we HAVE a body and spirit. We are the man in the middle, so to speak. Now where would we be without our bodily senses? What if we couldn't hear, or see, or sense or feel....or smell? What would we experience? So mankind has become carnal by relying only on the carnal...

    The Sword Of God

We are not spirit...we are a soul. God's Spirit affects the soul like chalk in dye. Over time we may become dyed in the wool. But a rock doesn't allow for infiltration of that kind. It depends on the heart.

    The Sword Of God

If only a baby could realize that "this is all I'll ever be"...wait...that is what a baby thinks. ;)

    The Sword Of God

Amazing...a recipe for a permanent babe in Christ state. And such a twisted logic. That's what happens when people try advancing in Christ with the human mind and it's futile reasoning. The maturing process begins when we are purified through His life being experienced until Christ be formed in us.

    Led by the Spirit

Many people have been conditioned to believe that before Luther "the first 1,500 years of the church age" ...all was heresy. This appears more true to them than that Luther, because of the printing press, was permitted to spread a populist misinterpretation of Paul. The great delusion as it...
