    Where does the Bible say?

God and Jesus held Mary in very high regard. They loved, respected and honored her. Do you?

    Is this statement true?

Lol...It had to come from somewhere!!! Or it came from Middle English (ca. A.D. 1066) and then is derived from Old English and then is taken from Late Latin (A.D. 300-700) and then is taken from Greek and then is taken from Hebrew, 'Yeshua,' 'Yehoshua'. o_O

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Hi JBF< That is true. Good point. I work best thru scenarios if you would just bear with me: You and I are talking to a mutual friend who tells us that they now believe in Jesus. They tell us to complete the process of becoming a Christian they want to be baptized to wash away their sins...

    Is this statement true?

Jesus is derived from Middle English (ca. A.D. 1066) and then is derived from Old English and then is taken from Late Latin (A.D. 300-700) and then is taken from Greek and then is taken from Hebrew, 'Yeshua,' 'Yehoshua'. the 4th century, scribes who no longer knew or cared about the Nazarene...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Ok...I see what you are saying now!!! In theory: If I know that I have a true relationship with Him I can use myself as the minimum criteria that must be met as evidence that someone else has a true relationship with Him. So as long as someone believes, practices, preaches, teaches etc. the...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Sooooo which one of those billions (there are 2 billion Christians in the world) of 'born again believers' are we supposed to go to to fulfill Matthew 18:16 and 1 Timothy 3:15?

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Thank you. What I understand you to be saying is that if I determine that someone has a genuine relationship with Jesus then they are part of 'the church'? I sincerely hope I got that right....

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Ok...sooo we can figure out the truth. Sooooo how do we figure out WHO is telling us the truth? Such a conundrum....

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Really? The true church is people from all walks of life. Sooooo which one of those billions of 'true churches' are we supposed to go to to fulfill Matthew 18:16 and 1 Timothy 3:15?

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Ummm....yup, what Paul SAID to them orally is oral tradition. After all they didn't have the writings of the NT to rely on now did they?

    Jesus isn't Catholic

I don't mind your two cents...I appreciate it. So the "true church" is anyone that tells you they have genuinely placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ and what He did for them on the Cross for salvation? Where does Scripture say that?

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Hmmmm......so we can never figure out the truth? The Bereans compared Scripture (what we call the OT now) to what they were being told (oral tradition) about Jesus and came to the right conclusion (that Jesus was in fact the savior spoken of in OT Scripture). Sooooo you rely on oral tradition...

Lol...I thought you had bigger fish to fry?

    Jesus isn't Catholic

LOL...apparently you don't since you keep interjecting yourself....;) (friendly jab, don't take it personal) In post #606 you stated that we know that you are not the true church. Since you KNOW what the true church is not then you must know what the true church is? Please share.... Curious Mary

    Jesus isn't Catholic

It is written ABOUT Scripture that some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. Soooo how do YOU, justbyfaith, determine who the untaught and unstable are that are distorting Scripture? How do...

    Apparitions of the Virgin Mary

Thanks for joining the convo. So YOU know how to properly interpret His words (Scripture)? Mary

    Apparitions of the Virgin Mary

    What man do you follow?

    Apparitions of the Virgin Mary

You are right. If anyone worships (treats her as a deity) Mary that is idolatry. That is what The Catholic Church believes/teaches also. You agree with The Church. Are you Catholic?

    Apparitions of the Virgin Mary

I already gave you "my thoughts". What you are saying makes zero sense to me. Neither Scripture or the 2,000 year teaching of Christianity agrees with what you have written. From whom did you learn this? Mary
