Andrew Cuomo Gets Off Scott Free, Nursing Home Deaths In The Thousands?

In terms of the narrow issues surrounding this incident, a closer look might even find me looking at what you say with some degree of sympathy. However, looking also at the broader picture (from someone who is not in the US; objection: true, it's none of my business), I am supposed to agree...

Andrew Cuomo Gets Off Scott Free, Nursing Home Deaths In The Thousands?

Like I said, leaving aside good, bad or indifferent things he may or may not have done, he IS a target.

Does man naturally have ability to Seek God ?

Ephesians 2.1-7: "And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had...

Does man naturally have ability to Seek God ?

@Ronald Nolette "All of grace, yes, grace surpassing, Such a portion to bestow, But the love, all knowledge passing, Grace has taught us now to know. Love that bore the stripes and sorrow, Love that suffered on the Tree, Love that shares the bright tomorrow, With the loved ones, you and me."

Does man naturally have ability to Seek God ?

Ditto with the sentiment about oneself; Amen.

Does man naturally have ability to Seek God ?

Ephesians 1 makes it clear that the believer's election is entirely according to God's grace: sovereign, electing grace with no admixture of human merit or fleshly cooperation.

Does man naturally have ability to Seek God ?

The word salvation - SOTERIA - really means deliverance; context supplies particular reference to the sort of deliverance in view.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Ronald Nolette In the past I've mentioned to ppl that my wife and I talked to a young lady - one of a number of young ppl that I have talked with, who have had Bible verses tattooed - with the whole of the wording of John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist area. I can just image her having gone into...

Does man naturally have ability to Seek God ?

It's yet another way of pointing out from Scripture that in the Gospel, the grace of God must be sovereign.

Does man naturally have ability to Seek God ?

@Ronald Nolette Romans 3.11: "There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God."

Andrew Cuomo Gets Off Scott Free, Nursing Home Deaths In The Thousands?

I'm not in the US. Just an observation: since this prominent personality has been talked of as in the running for President, then clearly - leaving aside anything he did or did not do - he would be regarded by some ppl and vested interests as a legitimate target to try to discredit.

THE PULSE BEAT OF ALL WE DO

Hi @Pearl The book of Acts has sometimes been referred to as the Acts of the Holy Spirit. Indeed, the power of the Holy Spirit was behind the early believers' activities when they 'continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers' (Acts 2.42).

John 3.16: Simple Gospel truth and profound theology

@Oceanprayers This verse has been the means of an immense amount of blessing. (A ready source of sermons for speakers if called upon at short notice...)

    Victory over repentance

Hi @VictoryinJesus ; the believer is by definition a continuously repentant person: "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death." (2 Corinthians 7.10).

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@amadeus Good point to remember; thank-you. Good to pursue the spirit of Acts 2.42, indeed... All the young people with Bible verses tattooed with whom I have spoken seem to have had them done for evangelistic reasons, anyway.

    Victory over repentance

@Oceanprayers I love the verse: "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:" (Philippians 1.6)

@Lambano Well, seems like now there are plenty of parlors up and running, right?

    divorce and remarriage?

I would see the Lord Jesus' 'exception clause' in the Gospels as being in the context of the Jewish betrothal period, in which the parties were considered already married 'before they came together' (as per Joseph and Mary's situation at the time of the Annunciation), which would necessitate a...

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Mayflower Well, now, that one would have hurt.... :) Maybe this is partly why you chose a more 'sensible' (if I can use that term) placement?
