I have absolutely no personal interest in defending Mr Cuomo. Why would I? My observations are about the culture of the space withing which politicians operate.

I have no desire to change what you have presented! :) But the bigger point is: aspiring politicians and politics move in grubby territory. It's naive to follow the supposed innocence of another side's vested interests.
