    The OP seems to teach salvation by works. Romans 8 and Ephesians 2 seem to counter this.

    @Marvelloustime I like to compare this Psalm with Ephesians 1 and 2: the Lord by His grace bringing sinners out of the depths and causing them to praise Him for deliverance.

    I would probably agree with you on divorce, but would see Israel and the church - as per Darby - as distinct.

    Much of what Scofield disseminated was based on Bible study notes by J. N. Darby. It's hard retrospectively to blacken Darby because of Scofield's domestic life. (I do see remarriage prohibited in Romans 7 and 1 Corinthians 7.)
