    Righteous is as righteous does.

You do realize that there is an archive here that negates having to write dozens of pages of the same explanations over and over again. Check out this thread...The Righteous
  2. Episkopos

    Righteous is as righteous does.

Modern churches do not teach about righteousness because they want to fill pews and make money. They need numbers not truth. I have written other threads about righteousness. Look in my "featured threads." The Righteous

    Righteous is as righteous does.

    # 35 the one before you responded with "that would be a no"...thereby not reading what I wrote...again.
  4. Episkopos

    Righteous is as righteous does.

Jesus did not come to call the righteous to repentance...since these repent of themselves and seek to do what is right by nature.
  5. Episkopos

    Righteous is as righteous does.

You answered your own question by confusing a common righteousness...and God's righteousness. It's like confusing a man's strength with God's strength. An indoctrinated person can't see the difference and see that a human strength is not necessarily a bad thing...just insufficient.

    Righteous is as righteous does.

Be holy as God is holy. Be ye perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect....etc Do you know what "dead to sin" means?
  7. Episkopos

    Righteous is as righteous does.

Did you read the line where I said..."for instance" giving you an example?????
  8. Episkopos

    Righteous is as righteous does.

    What are you speaking of?
  9. Episkopos

    Righteous is as righteous does.

The whole bible testifies of these things. But if you throw out one verse when you see another...you are bouncing around without learning anything. Do a study on righteousness using a concordance. For instance...Jesus did NOT come to call the righteous to repentance but sinners. If you...

    Righteous is as righteous does.

OK a good question. Holiness is to enter into Christ and walk in HIS presence and power. Righteousness is to do what is right with what one has been given. This is not a "Christian" thing...it is a basic honesty and love of others that all men can have. The righteousness of God only works if...

    Righteous is as righteous does.

I am talking to you but you aren't tracking. You aren't reading. I can't physically make you read what I'm writing. I don't know how else to communicate with you besides with writing...so then the weak link is your reading. Re-read again...until you understand the point. And then re-read again...

    Righteous is as righteous does.

Unless our own righteousness exceeds that of the Pharisees...that means DOING as we say we believe... then there is no hope for us. The Pharisees said things...but didn't follow it up with actions. If we do the same then our righteousness is just as theirs is. How can our righteousness exceed...

The passage is describing an action that justified her. Again I appeal to reading skills here. What did the woman DO? Did she just sit there and believe something? Or did she act? Did her faith have action or not?
  14. Episkopos

    Righteous is as righteous does.

There...you answered your own question...taking one aspect of the truth to negate plain teaching which you are willing to throw out the window for something you desire to be the whole truth on the matter. Faith without works is dead. And you are not understanding how God's righteousness...
  15. Episkopos

    Righteous is as righteous does.

That is part of the equation....but the righteous are not perfect, they sin at times. This is below the holiness standard of Christ.....which is to be as God the Father is in purity. But even though the righteous sin... Prov. 24:16 For though a righteous man falls seven times, he will get up...
  16. Episkopos

    Righteous is as righteous does.

A religious hypocrite is one who says something or believes something but doesn't do what he says or believes. Jesus says about these...do as they say but not as they do. So people can know something ABOUT the truth but not belong to the truth. People who preach half-truths...or speak the truth...
  17. Episkopos

    Righteous is as righteous does.

I came out so much to say it that I started a thread about it. You were just asking a mundane question. This is about reading comprehension. i find that many people here can't read...or have no real reading comprehension. Just look at some of the responses in the threads. Is the lack of...
  18. Episkopos

    Righteous is as righteous does.

You just have to read the title of this thread.
  19. Episkopos

    Righteous is as righteous does.

keep watching the thread. As soon as you mention the word "righteousness", you get religious statements (implanted by group think) that are partially true but deny reality
  20. Episkopos

    Righteous is as righteous does.

Jesus said...you will know them by their love...not by a religious statement. So that should tell you that this is about what people do....not what they believe or opine about. As it says in Mat. 25....those that are Christ's among all the religions and non-religions of the world will be...
