@Ferris Bueller Thanks for your comments. Obviously ppl are welcome to all sorts of differing individual views and preferences; this is part of the nature of things, indeed. It may be significant, though, that historically tattooing was apparently very widespread among 19th century high society...

The bottom line is that it wasn't saving faith, else they would be saved. The Parable of Sower is relevant, as to whether there is ground for the root of faith to take hold.
