Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Lambano You're right that parlors sometimes were formerly identified with dimly lit, industrial sections, sometimes open only at night when the tattoo artist had clocked off from other work. Years ago, the image of a tattoo parlor was in rough areas of San Diego or Tijuana, for a mainly sailor...

Dealing with a spirit of fear

@Lambano The Luther Bible in German has had a profound influence on the language. I find that reading John chapter 1 in another language, where the wording is simple and clear anyway, can help absorb a language being learned...

Dealing with a spirit of fear

@Lambano I think there is a more modern Song O . Lee translation in Korean, based on the King James, although when its not from the original some problems can arise. I wish I could learn Korean or Chinese or Japanese...

@Lambano So, she has several tattoos, does she? (I think the parlors are better inspected places; there was a time when there was relatively little inspection.)

How Powerful Is the Power of Prayer? How Can We Gain It?

@Lambano Yes, indeed; it's about praying, Thy will be done, as we cry, Abba, Father (Romans 8)...

Dealing with a spirit of fear

@Lambano Interestingly not far from where we are in the next city there is not only a Chinatown but even a Koreatown, with restaurants.

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Cassandra Some ppl stick with the temporary ones only - faith based or not, as the case may be. For others the temp. ones seem to be a stepping stone for an appointment at the tattoo parlor.

    What Is Your Super Power?

@Cassandra We have a bread making machine but we don't seem to use it very much.... Some of my efforts with it turned out really well....but not always.....

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@FluffyYellowDuck So did you have any skin reaction when you first came home from the tattoo parlor? or maybe it was all right from the start. (Different ppl's skin can react in quite different ways.)

    Art, Beauty and Christianity

@FluffyYellowDuck In the end, Christianity is more about cultivating the 'inner man', as Paul says to the Ephesians in chapter 3, right?
