Acts 2:38 has been abandoned by Christianity

Is Spirit baptism non-existent in your vocabulary? (1 Corinthians 12:13) In what sense were the Israelites "baptized into Moses" in 1 Corinthians 10:2? Do you believe they were water baptized into the body of Moses?

    Once saved always saved?

I didn't say it was a problem for me. Just making the point you are absolutely obsessed with this topic. So you are saying that OSAS only applies to you but not me? Are you seeking to pit he and I against each other? Is this entertaining for you?

    Once saved always saved?

It's obvious. I've read through multiple OSAS threads and they are saturated with posts from you. I've noticed that ALL false religions and cults that promote works salvation strongly oppose OSAS, which has always been a major red flag for me. No unbelievers will go to Heaven. (John 3:18)

    Once saved always saved?

I spend way less time on OSAS vs. NOSAS threads on this forum than you do. OSAS or "perseverance/preservation of the saints" has brought me much joy and assurance, while NOSAS only brought me fear and bondage to IN-security and kept me captive to works salvation prior to my conversion while...

    Once saved always saved?

You seem to be absolutely obsessed with this topic and appear to be thrilled over the thought of OSASers losing their salvation.

    Once saved always saved?

Salvation is not probation. Eternal life is not temporary life. Jesus is the door. He is not a revolving door.

    Once Saved Always Saved

Presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice does take work, but our best efforts to do so is not the basis or means by which we obtain salvation.

    Once Saved Always Saved

Do you believe that we are saved by grace through faith, not works or through faith and works? I have even heard certain people say that we are saved through faith + “these” works (good works/works of obedience etc..) and just not “those” works (works of the law).

    Once Saved Always Saved

People need to be careful about defining belief/faith "as" actions/works. Now although belief/faith results in actions appropriate to the belief/faith (to one degree or the other/all genuine believers are fruitful, yet not all are equally fruitful) - but the actions are NOT INHERENT in the...

    Once Saved Always Saved

Being saved from the PRESENCE of sin (which involves growing in grace/maturing in Christ - working "out" our salvation and not working for our salvation - Philippians 2:12-13) involves our participation, yet it is still God who works in us to will and to do for His good pleasure.

    Once Saved Always Saved

There are 3 tenses to salvation. 1. We have been saved from the PENALTY of sin (justification) 2. We are being saved from the POWER of sin (ongoing sanctification) 3. We will be saved from the PRESENCE of sin (glorification) How does that leave out sanctification? NOSAS thinking has been known...

    The Gospel

Those who trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of their salvation certainly believe those scriptures and in His power to accomplish those things. Those who don't trust in Christ alone for salvation instead trust in their works for salvation.

    The Gospel

Jesus was preaching the gospel of the kingdom to Israel. John the Baptist also preached the gospel of the kingdom, which was, "..Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." (Matthew 3:2) This shows that before the cross, the fuller content of the gospel that Paul taught and came to him...

    The Gospel

The gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16). To “believe” the gospel is to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means...
