    What do SDAs believe?

@Addy It's interesting that Hebrews 7.12 says the law was changed; and Hebrews 7.19 says that what we now have is better than the law.

    Encouraging verses

@Cachalot Great passage there; and 'the sin which doth so easily beset us' in verse 1 may in the context be unbelief, given that in the context it follows on from all the OT examples of what was done 'by faith', 'by faith', 'by faith'....does this seem to make sense?

    The Mind

@VictoryinJesus John's First Epistle is very searching...and one can see how the author of John's Gospel continues themes in the First Epistle.

Hi @Michiah-Imla It's interesting that in Hebrews 7.12 we see the law was changed and in Hebrews 7.19 what we now have is better than the law.

    The wonder of God

Hi @Addy Reminds me of Psalm 19.1: "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork."

    The Mind

@VictoryinJesus I'm reminded of this passage in 1 Peter 2: "...Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but...

    The Mind

Hi @VictoryinJesus ; I think it's probably because of the idea of the simplicity of faith and trust. The trust in Proverbs 3.5 can commended in terms of simple, child-like faith.

    Understanding MPD/DID & SRA/MK

A verse which comes to mind is Psalm 22.1: "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" "Behold! behold the Lamb of God, On the cross! On the cross! For us He shed His precious blood, On the cross! On the cross! O hear His all-important cry, “Eli, lama sabachthani?” Draw near and see the...

can you tell me you view on this?

@TLHKAJ Like you say in the other thread recently, some ppl have been through some horrendous experiences. (Maybe in some cases some ppl's tattoos reflect this also.) If a Christian woman has a tattoo with the name of a non-Christian ex-bf's name (e.g., 'BILL'), she has various choices, such as...

@Mayflower Hebrews 11, from where the poster quote comes, is a tremendous chapter. I like also how the writer follows on at the beginning of chapter 12 with the exhortation to keep 'looking unto Jesus' (12.2).
