Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

Yes, God said he’d send another helper, not himself. See the difference? I discern Scripture this way; the only true God - who we relate to as Father - is explicitly called YHWH (not Jesus).

    John 8:24, 28, 58 - Jesus Christ IS YHWH

Jesus did not teach us to pray to him but to the only true God, the Father.

    John 8:24, 28, 58 - Jesus Christ IS YHWH

LOL. If only the trinity were actually in the Bible …

    John 8:24, 28, 58 - Jesus Christ IS YHWH

FAIL. He did not raise himself. This says what he would do. I’d get my wife a cup of coffee does not mean I did get her the cup of coffee. I know you know the difference. You just want to pretend they are the same.

    Gnosticism

Yes. The parable of the Talents is about DOING the will of God. The Will of God is as obvious as the sun in the sky and does not require esoteric knowledge of astronomy, quantum mechanics, physics, etc. The parable of the Talents is NOT about the secret or better knowledge one of the servants...

    Gnosticism

We are not talking about parts. We are talking about PURPOSE. The simple statement is the PURPOSE of Christianity is NOT to be students of the Bible. Do you agree?

Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

I know. You have been indoctrinated to call out to a god not found in Scripture. From today’s devotional reading: so that together you may with one voice glorify God and the father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5 God is the father of Jesus. The verse is not a trinitarian verse. It does...

Who is Jesus to a Non-Trinitarian?

Reminds me of when I asked a trinitarian who said 'this is my son, in whom I am well pleased.' He obstinately said it is the voice of the Father. LOL When I pointed out that Jesus is not called the son of the father, the conversation ended. The verse in question proves beyond any rational...

Is it possible to get my faith back?

Wow! PossibleThrowawayAccount what a confession. Thank you so much for risking opening an account here. I pray you find support, encouragement and love here to help you on what has obviously been an extremely trying life. I pride myself on logic as a means to determine truth. If you examine...

    Difference between Catholic and Protestant.

Agreed! IF the church was build on Peter, it'd be called Peterians. But we are called Christians, not by some fancy word play. The idea that an eternal, all-powerful, all knowing God would found his church to reconcile the world to him, not on his divine son, whom he sent for this VERY...

Does John 1:1 say Jesus is God

Absolutely not! John 20:31 tells us everything he wrote was NOT to prove Jesus was God. Given that explicit statement by John, who wrote the most anti-trinitarian book of the Bible, you need to read John 1:1 in that light. The word was god, made flesh, in fulfillment of Deut 18L15-18. It is NOT...

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

We are not talking about appearance AJ! Sending numerous intimidation squads reveals the fruit in question, lacking grace. There you go again, pretending this is a criminal trial. 1st, the trauma was brought on by intimidation squads, on top of all manner of coercive tactics. 2nd, I believe...

Does John 1:1 say Jesus is God

Do you believe the Bible does not recognize other real gods besides THE Creator, YHWH? Jesus rightfully defended himself calling himself the son of God because of Ps 82. Check it out.

    Gnosticism

You can say knowledge is important all day long; it is not a requirement for salvation or the purpose of Christianity. Knowledge is secondary. This is the lesson of Original Sin. The lesson of Original Sin is that trust and obedience to God is primary. This is how we demonstrate what we know...

    John 8:24, 28, 58 - Jesus Christ IS YHWH

All I need to see is Scripture, not trinitarians demanding verses say what they want. Just show the verse that plainly says Jesus is God. Just show the verse that plainly says Jesus raised himself from the dead. You want find it because it's not true. Jesus is not God and did not raise himself...

    John 8:24, 28, 58 - Jesus Christ IS YHWH

Rev 1:1 God, in his unitarian nature, gave Jesus the revelation.

    John 8:24, 28, 58 - Jesus Christ IS YHWH

There is no trinity in the Bible; there is only God - who we relate to as Father. God is spirit and he is holy. These are attributes of God, not a different person. Proof is God's spirit has no personal name. There is not one verse in Scripture that claims Jesus raised himself from the dead...

    John 8:24, 28, 58 - Jesus Christ IS YHWH

Proof text that Jesus is NOT God. If he were God, you would not be talking about forms. By contrast Jesus said he has a God who is the only true God. For some reason, this is not good enough for you.

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

I don’t have animosity toward JW’s. Half of his family are active members, including his parents and one set of grandparents. The difference between us is that you are trying to defend the JW and I am not. You seem eager to find some mitigating fact that may be found ‘on the other side’ of the...

What does Colossians 1:16 mean when it says "For by him were all things created..."

Doesn’t sound like a Spirit led, grace filled organization.
