Should the books of the bible been more like 77?

Why does it matter to you whether I love it or not? You have no faith in it, fine. I do. Nothing in it contradicts anything in the Bible. It does nothing but explain things that makes me love God more, not less. You seem to be going to great lengths to argue with me about something that builds...

    “Dead to Sin”

At least you know that it is only our past sins that are cleansed, and don't spout the fallacy of past, present and future sins. I'm impressed! So how does Jesus assure us of no longer sinning in the present and future? I know, but you need to think about it and learn, and I'll let you answer. 2...

Should the books of the bible been more like 77?

LOL They didn't want it? It was on 6 lists. I don't care if they didn't want it, which you have no way of knowing so you are just blowing hot air, I LOVE IT, AND IT MINISTERS TO ME. Not only that, but it is needed more now, than it was then as Jesus is coming soon, whereas back then it was...

Should the books of the bible been more like 77?

    You didn't answer my question.

Should the books of the bible been more like 77?

How do you know those men chose all the inspired works, and didn't leave any out? They weren't inspired.

    “Dead to Sin”

When we repent as Peter preached in Acts 2:38 as I have done, how much unrighteousness is cleansed in 1 John 1:9?

Penal Substitution is NOT a “Theory”

    No one doesn't believe that.

    “Dead to Sin”

Was Paul born again? Yes. Was Paul baptized in the Spirit? Yes. Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. Don't you get it? The law of the Spirit frees us from the...

    “Dead to Sin”

That depends on if you just believe in imputed righteousness, like an invisibility cloak of the blood of Jesus so that the Father can't see the sins we have no power over committing. If that is what you mean, then I can see why you would want to take the focus off of sin. o_O Again, that is what...

    “Dead to Sin”

The key point also is that sin was still in the flesh making the law weak. We MUST be born again of the Spirit. We need his power and a different nature, the divine nature.

Penal Substitution is NOT a “Theory”

Who do you accuse of rejecting it?

Should the books of the bible been more like 77?

Yes. All his other epistles were included. Paul was an apostle. Just like all three epistles of John were included. Barnabas was an apostle, Clement was not. (That was to another poster if she is reading.)

Should the books of the bible been more like 77?

That is just one of many things I learned in the EoB, which I've already explained. I have a broader understanding of God, and isn't that what the Bible is for? I have a hunger and thirst for ALL of God's word, so why not read a book that the early Christians considered the work of the apostle...

Penal Substitution is NOT a “Theory”

That's exactly why Calvinism needed to be reformed by those who saw obvious unscriptural stances that caused Calvin to try to come up with unscriptural made-up solutions. Seekers aren't the heretics. They find the truth. Calvin should have just stuck to scripture. All the right answers were...

Was Goliath an OT saint? I just want to know your definition of a "saint."

Penal Substitution is NOT a “Theory”

I think you have @John Caldwell all wrong, and, frankly, as usual are taking offense where none is given. You don't agree with me either, but I have had to do the same as John when it came to indoctrination, for me away from the Law of SDA to Grace. But even the grace I learned needed...

Penal Substitution is NOT a “Theory”

CC: @John Caldwell Adding John because you said you agree. Where does it say that after Jesus died that he went to preach to OT "saints"??? Old Testament saints were obedient, not disobedient. I Peter 3 where this is found also mentions Noah and ark. It appears to me that Jesus preached to...
