    Beware Of Increasing Debt

PS: @Rita: EBENEZER, 'Hitherto hath the LORD helped us' (1 Samuel 7.12), is what so many believers can say, right? :)

    Beware Of Increasing Debt

@Rita Oh I can see that God can convict directly in many ways; I do actually say I don't think the sign gifts in a primary sense on the level of the authority of Scripture are still with us.

Is it a sin to use contraception?

@Rita Well, for the Christian, this might be the advice for the unmarried, but not for the married.... When young ppl aren't Christian, though, but are active, it's a dilemma: important not to do it at all; but if done, with condoms/bc. The Christian parent will likely be very unwilling to be...

    Beware Of Increasing Debt

@Rita: I do think the work of the Holy Spirit is indeed absolutely necessary (this is why I don't care for 'evangelists' who ask for raised hands, standing up, signing "decision" cards, etc.) I do think the context of the sign gifts in Acts during the Apostolic period at the beginning when the...

Is it a sin to use contraception?

PS: @Rita Nothing is 100% "safe", is it? Though "Safer", maybe...

    Beware Of Increasing Debt

@Rita Good to rest on the promises of God in the Word that's written, right? :)

    Coffee Shop (let's chat)

@Rita Yes I know; monotony and uncertainty can dull the mind. I guess shows the importance of daily prayer and the Scriptures, right?

Is it a sin to use contraception?

Interesting; I guess I was thinking particularly of condom problems, though, which are not widely discussed.

Is it a sin to use contraception?

@Rita Well, yes, of course, you're right; some wives, even if the husband is willing to, will ask them not to wear them. It then kind of puts it back in her court, so to speak. The control that many wives do want.

    HILLSONG

PS: Ppl's tastes in music - Christian music, even - are always going to be a bit subjective, anyway. Often it's what you are used to...

Poll: Caffeine, nicotine, vaping: comparable? or rather distinct?

@Rita Yes, nicotine is stronger (although you can get the really low tar); but like you say there are similarities; I do happen to think the comparison is valid. Thanks for your comment!

Is it a sin to use contraception?

Well this is getting all rather hypothetical, of course...

Poll: Caffeine, nicotine, vaping: comparable? or rather distinct?

@Rita Did you manage yet to give the poll options any more thought? :) perhaps it can be hard to settle on one option or another, though; there are often so many sides to a question, aren't there?

    HILLSONG

My wife likes Gaither, anyway; does anyone else find it similar to Hillsong?

Is it a sin to use contraception?

PS: Some husbands are unfortunately not so keen for it to be consenual, of course.

Is it a sin to use contraception?

Yes indeed you did. Not spoken about much, though...

Is it a sin to use contraception?

@Sabertooth Well, health concerns about condoms are not nearly as publicized as are concerns about other bc methods.

Is it a sin to use contraception?

@Rita Just goes to show that God is indeed sovereign! There is the saying that man proposes but God disposes, in the sense that He carries out His perfect will. Some devices and procedures are more problematic than others; a lot of ppl would say that condoms are less problematic, although in...

Is it a sin to use contraception?

@Rita: Oh I can understand it, yes; though I guess that a lot of married Christians would not find condoms problematic; it's a Romans 14 Christian liberty issue, I would reckon.

    HILLSONG

@Nancy I guess tastes in music can be very subjective. Hillsong I guess is a bit like the Gaither concert that my wife went to...
