Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@Nancy Exactly! whether or not Christians have at some stage had a bit of tattoo fun (and some even use it seriously in witness designs) has little or nothing to do with whether they are truly ready for the Lord's coming... :)

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

@Nancy : I would reckon that sinning, that grace may abound, is pretty widespread...

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@Nancy On the other thread we were talking about the Lord's coming. The big question is: Are ppl ready for the Lord's coming? not, whether ppl are tattooed or not... :)

How will we know the real Jesus from a false prophet?

It was a question of whether one would recognize the Lord Jesus or not; but I think the context is likely the Jewish remnant after the church has gone.

The rich man and the beggar at his gate?

@Waiting on him Good to edify one another with the Scriptures, indeed.

The rich man and the beggar at his gate?

    @VictoryinJesus Very searching Scriptures there...

How will we know the real Jesus from a false prophet?

@Nancy For the church it will be a question anyway of being 'caught up' to be with Him, not of somehow deciding whether or not to....

Poll: Caffeine, nicotine, vaping: comparable? or rather distinct?

@Helen Interesting point.... (What about eaters of pizza with tomato topping....? but I guess it's excess that we are talking about...)

    Truth is not relative

    I like the expression... :)

Poll: Caffeine, nicotine, vaping: comparable? or rather distinct?

Rita Like all sorts of things, right? what sort of work to do, tattoos, which church to attend, etc.

Is it a sin to use contraception?

Hi @Rita This thread seems to have caused a lot of debate; did you see it?

    Truth is not relative

@Waiting on him Romans 8.9 is also relevant: "...Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his."

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@Waiting on him Sounds great; good to pursue an artistic flair and use it. (Don't be surprised if she also looks at a lot of tattoo resource graphics on the computer, mind you.)

    Truth is not relative

Romans 8.16: "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God"....

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@Waiting on him Did your daughter ever get her inking machine, BTW, from whatever source?

Is it a sin to use contraception?

@Waiting on him Yes, very rooted in OT thinking.

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@Renniks Well, there's always numbing cream that some parlors use... I liked your refer to beards and shaving in Leviticus; useful to extrapolate the possible implications in relation to tattoos...

Is it a sin to use contraception?

PS: With married believers and contraception, maybe it's one of those many things where Romans 14 should be the believer's guide.

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

Hi @Deborah_ FYI, I recently started a poll, above; did you see it?
